I’m actually feeling pretty confident about the Garnacho deal.
Let’s be honest, Man Utd and Chelsea have been basket case clubs for a couple of seasons and deflecting the issues they clearly have behind the scenes on to young footballers is the easiest way of apportioning blame.

Not saying these young lads are totally blameless but just look at those clubs and the managers they’ve had recently.
UTV !!

Nothing we can do now but give him a chance, and see how the next few months go. He's an upgrade on Bailey at least.

19 Jul 2026 15:14:21
Hull City in for Leon Bailey.
Be nice to get him moved on.
Time will tell but this window is appearing to be one of our more successful ones in recent times for incomings and outgoings with the big money we're receiving helping us massively.

Coventry are interested in Torres allegedly.
After yesterday I wouldn't be that bothered if he went

Trinity 74

1.) 27 Apr 2026 14:14:21
You might not be bothered, but I think Unai might. Torres' defensive work might not always be the best, but Emery likes his centre backs to be ball players and be able to bring the ball out from the back, and he is definitely the best we have at doing that.

2.) 27 Apr 2026 16:26:45
Agree he's not the best cb, but he's class on the ball and pinging passes. Don't know why we haven't tried him as a hybrid cm or dm.

3.) 27 Apr 2026 18:48:28
Wasn't pinging many at Fulham.

4.) 27 Apr 2026 22:27:24
Can't be great all the time, Dave.

5.) 28 Apr 2026 14:58:24
To be fair, he wasn't on his own vs Fulham.

25 Apr 2026 21:11:32
The problem now is lifting the players.
Honestly, if we play like this I can't see us winning another game.
As for Forest on Thursday, I've given up already. They play without fear and dynamic in attack.
We have too many player below the level. Season over I'm afraid.
We got away with it last Sunday but I've seen nothing that gives me any degree of confidence.

Trinity 74

1.) 25 Apr 2026 21:34:57
Where are Forest and where are we? Not a great performance, I accept, but apart from a mad couple of minutes against Sunderland we were good. Season over? You're kidding. Are you really telling me that even performing below par, we won't beat Spurs and Burnley? You need to keep the faith and get behind the team.

25 Apr 2026 10:22:02
Didn't enjoy watching Sunderland vs Forest.
We are going to have our hands full with Forest.
They're pressing and closing Sunderland down really high up.
Last thing I want to see is Forest confidence.

Latest rumour suggests we’re considering Nicolas Jackson. I wonder what that means for Tammy Abraham?
We paid £18m for him in January. If we were to sell him, what could we realistically expect as a fee? £10 - £12m?
His salary isn’t insignificant at c£100k a week.
Should we consider selling him?

Trinity 74

1.) 21 Jul 2026 12:36:24
I think we've been linked to Jackson as many times as we've been linked to Felix at this point.

If it was up to me? No. Not only do I not rate Jackson, I don't think he'd score as many goals in a season as Tammy would if they both had the same number of games.

Selling Abraham at a loss after just 6 months without buying someone who could either take Ollie's 1st place or really push him for it? Just feels like regression.

2.) 21 Jul 2026 13:54:15
Same here, I wouldn't want Jackson, even if he was a free agent. Honestly, can't see us buying another striker unless we sell one. We need 2 full backs and a cm at the very least. A winger is also high on the list. I think we only bought Tammy because we were stuck for cover, but it now looks like a waste of 20 million.

18 Jul 2026 19:52:22
Rogers to Chelsea then. £117m. Which means we get £96 net after the sell on to Middlesbrough.
Money we've already spent or more big money signings to come?

Trinity 74

1.) 18 Jul 2026 20:48:04
I expect 1 more big one, either a winger or CM. I think we need a starting LB, and a RB for the bench, a young striker option for the bench, probably a loan or 2 for numbers.

16 Jul 2026 13:55:52
Joao Gomes for £35m. Manzambi £50m and Paulhina for £35m.
Happy?

Trinity 74

1.) 16 Jul 2026 16:02:06
Paulinha won't be 35m.

2.) 16 Jul 2026 16:35:08
Paulinha won't be coming lol, I'd rather have Robbie Savage, both bellends.

UTV.

3.) 16 Jul 2026 18:06:11
If Paulinha does come, I expect it to only be a loan.

4.) 17 Jul 2026 21:14:39
I've just read that Paulinha will be a loan or EUR23m so probably a loan, my bad.
Pervis Estupinan EUR18-20m though.

22 May 2026 16:58:43
Does anyone think that Jack Grealish would give up all he's won at Man City to have been in that final on Wednesday and win the Europa League Cup with Villa?

Trinity 74

1.) 22 May 2026 19:10:40
No I don't think he does, mate.

2.) 22 May 2026 22:52:44
Sadly, he's just not that type of person. We'd love to believe he is, but he isn't. If he were, he'd never have left in the first place. Of course, we'd give up everything for that moment with Villa, but he wouldn't.

3.) 23 May 2026 01:46:28
Probably wouldn't have given up everything he's won with City for the Europa League. If something crazy happened next season and we won the Champions League, I'd say he definitely would. Offer him 100k a week when the transfer season starts, and we won't be long finding out.

I love to see him come back, if he were to stay fit and perform well... but it's a flip of a coin as to which Grealish we would see.

4.) 23 May 2026 08:58:08
He's not an Unai player. Dean Smith used to turn a blind eye to some of the stuff he did, whereas Unai has very high standards and wouldn't put up with it.

21 May 2026 09:21:17
What a night, what a performance, what a team, what a manager.
No words to describe the feeling today.
Having already achieved Champions League qualification, not winning last night wouldn’t have been the end of the world, but winning a major trophy and the way we did it was very special.

My boys have now finally seen us win a major trophy. That will never be forgotten.
Safe journey to everyone who was in Istanbul and UTV!

Funnily enough I haven't renewed this year. Not because of the sponsorship deal, to be honest, but because the journey up from the SW was getting too much with the varying kick off times.
I support Aston Villa, but that doesn't mean I agree with everything they do off the pitch.

Bit like 'some' bitching about the price increases.
At the end of the day we all have our own decisions to make.

UTV!

Just been reading about this Lord.
You really do have to question whether it's all really worth it?
UEFA and FA have driven clubs outside of the protected few to make financial decisions that I'm sure they would rather not have to.

For me, I won't buy a shirt with that as main sponsor on the front. That's my decision and I stand by it. I won't criticise anyone who decides differently, that's up to them.
UTV !!!

Whack, Malen wasn't a waste of money. Selling him was a huge mistake. Check his stats.
As for the rest, pathetic bunch of strikers.
LotM, you cannot seriously defend what we've seen over the last 3 games.

Think it’s a loan unfortunately.

Yes, read that earlier. It shouldn't be a surprise that he's linked to top jobs in Europe as he's one of the best in Europe.
Be gutted if he left. Fingers crossed it comes to nothing and is idle media gossip.
One thing is for sure, he wouldn't have PSR concerns there.

You can't argue with Kane's scoring record, but when he's as ineffectual as he was last night, it feels like we were playing with 10 men.

I thought we would rotate more today, but in the end it was neither one thing nor another.
Can't understand why he persists with Rogers when he's clearly struggling.

Why didn't he try Tammy and Watkins up front and take Rogers off?

One thing I do believe is Emery sets us up to play a very European style, which works well in Europe, you have to admit.

Less so in the Premier League.

VJ, you do brighten my day. In the space of 2 hours you've changed your mind at least 3 times.
Alternating between resting players, play strongest team.
This is the place to vent, that is for sure

On a positive, for me, I backed Arsenal to win with 10 mins left @ 2/1 which were decent odds I thought.
Every cloud.... ?
