Whack, have you changed your view on Barkley, I still think he is a class act and looks comfortable on the ball, yes he has his iffy moments but name me one who doesn't.

No I stand by my opinion. looked good against Coventry, fenerbache and Viking. all championship standard clubs.
came on against Newcastle and looked terrible, same every time we play a decent team. don't get me wrong I respect the career he's had and he's a good lad but he's not top 10 PL level anymore. decent squad player but when him, Tammy and mings are on the pitch against a top side I'm very nervous.

Tammy especially, every time he comes on it's like playing with 10 men, we have no outlet up front, there is a massive gulf between him and Jackson, was the same when we had Watkins, huge gulf between Tammy and Ollie. we need Madjo to step up, I don't think he will displace Jackson but he will be closer to jacksons level than Tammy.

SV, I'm glad you agree and we are not on our own. My son in law lives in Luton and is a season ticket holder and I watched them a number of times In the 23/24 premier league season including our game in March when we won 3-2 with late minute goal from Luca Digne. On all occasions Barkley was their best player and his stats for the season were up with the best. Yes it was a while ago however I'm still seeing the same player I did in 2024 and so did Emery that's why he bought him.

We all have players we don't fancy and Whack is entitled to his view, I just happen to thing he is both wrong and unfair. He is however absolutely bang on with tap in Tammy, just a pity would couldn't get him off the wage bill, it appears nobody wanted him even at a knock down price.

Scotty. I've been really disappointed in Tammy. He shows no desire. Maybe he's seen he is third best behind Jackson and Brian and can't be bothered.

It's all about opinions boys. maybe I'll change my mind when he shows up against the top teams, that said he probably won't get the chance as he's not in our best 11 that's consistently picked to start in the PL. judging him on a season 3 years ago is a bit naive, I judge him on current form as he's not a legacy player for us, he's good against lower level teams but he's got zero confidence against the better teams, lots of players had good seasons 3 years ago it doesn't mean you will pin your hopes on them 3 years later.

the brightest turd in a team of turds is still a turd lol, Luton weren't great hence why they went back down. Emery bought him as a squad player and that's what he is, the 5 million we spent on him is peanuts, his price is reflective of his level.
