It's probably been mentioned on here before several times, but I watched the 90 minute documentary 'Super Villans' on Sky right before last night's game. Tells the story of how we won the league in the first half and then the story of how we won the European Cup in the second. Brilliantly narrated by Villa fan Mark Williams (Fast Show, Harry Potter etc.) with loads of player interviews fantastic footage and anecdotes - the one where Tony Morley's house burns down is a classic and you get a good feel for how Ron Saunders management style brilliantly negotiated the League and Europe using just 14 players. If anyone hasn't seen it, it's a must-watch for anyone who wasn't around in the early 80's and will certainly bring a few tears of nostalgia to anyone that was. Crappy old bus and ferry to Rotterdam anyone? ??

2nd May 1981 in the run-in to the final days of the title, over 20,000 travelling Villa fans took over the Clock End against Arsenal at Highbury. Unthinkable nowadays I think ?

I’ll always remember the title winning season for when we played Albion that the queue to get into the Holte End was all the way down to the church, a midweek game if i’m right, barely had time for my dad to get me my can of Coke and a packet of Snax, befor kick off, anyone remember them lol?
