Some rumours today that Villa may be looking to put a bid in for Ki from Swansea (on loan at Sunderland last season) - reports vary of a bid anything from 2m to 6.5m - and 'apparently' not on a huge wage (after Celtic and Swansea) and therefore may fit our budget
Not sure how much credence to give to this rumour although I do rate him as a ball playing midfielder who can score goals
1.) I have heard this rumour too. He is a very decent player and can play the ball out from the back. And has the strength. Another rumour that might be interesting is Stephane M'Bia the former QPR man.

Rules the Villa out.
There is nowhere near like that amount to spend on transfers.
There is no sign of a buyer. Even if there was someone, due diligence would take months to complete.
Its possible that Lambert might persuade Lerner to release some more funds but given that Lambert is clearly trying to offload players to raise funds, this is unlikely.
I am no Lerner hater - he has invested more than enough money nor am I a Lambert hater but its going to be a tough ride.
3.) I'm not sure where any of this money from player sales is going to come from. Everyone who has left us so far, of the players Lambert is looking to offload, are going out on loans - so far Helenius and Sylla.

Further to my comment earlier about Chalobah now also seeing suggestions of Sigurdsson on loan from Spurs. No concrete source as yet just a rumour possibly gathering pace.
Would much rather the 7m went this way instead of the big Czech fella who I actually think is decent
1.) Looks like 5m for kozac is a done deal. 20 odd league games scoring no goals is slightly concerning but he did score 10 in 11 games in Europe.
Still scratching my head as to why PL wants another player who seems so similar in physique to Benteke an Helenius. I'd rather that money went on a mid.

2.) Sigurdsson would be ideal. He can notch 10 goals from attacking midfield and wouldn't be a liability when we don't have possession.
3.) Would definetly add sigurdsson if he became available.

4.) Lambert is aware that Big Ben could still be hunted at this late hour. PSG very interested.
I have to concur witht the above. If Roma come calling with the offere of Champions Leagure football and to play in one of the worlds most decorated cities then it would defo be a head turner. Plus Manchester United are Manchester United and sell themselves.
While I would be gutted to see him go (more so because what we would be left with) I would not hold a grudge if he left to play at a better standard and finish his career with the chance of trophies and european football
Im starting to think KingVilla puts a load of names into one hat, a load of numbers into another and 'transfer' or 'loan' into a third and then picks one from each to make a 'rumour'. Poor form.
To whoever commented above and said they never liked Young when he was at the Villa, you are joking right?
The amount of chances he created, the number of goals he set up, the way he destroyed Everton and the Blues, his link up play with Carew and Barry and his quality at set pieces? Oh yeah sounds awful.
Surely Bent will be leaving on a free or at best a nominal fee (2/3m).
His 9 goals on 16 games that kept us up under Houllier should be rememebered. Has always been a goal threat but was never the team player that McLeish or PL wanted.
A young player who has just had a great goalscoring season in a successul side? If true, not going to cost the earth and therefore nota bad shout.
People saying ' not under Lerner's ownership' are forgetting money generated from TV etc last season (60m), surely this is available as Lerner has made it clear he will not be taking funds out of the club to repay his loans hence the 200m initial sale fee
