The deal I'm hearing we have agreed is 28 million and borini. I really hope this ain't true. I'd rather have the 32.5 mil and hope tim has a decent replacement lined up to come in straight away. I'd take Austin all day if we can get for 15 million leaving us 10 mil for townsend and 7.5 towards begovic.

I'm not shocked by the lack of Champions league club interest in him he's good but not excellent and I personally don't think he's got it in him to be the premier league winning striker.
Its all about opinions but for me if true he will be yet another expensive Rogers disappointment which he will be judged by.

I would take the 28mil plus Borini and be done with it rather than having to listen to the stories of Benteke leaving all summer (again). I completely agree with Kingvilla use the 28mil to buy 3 players that would improve the quality of the 1st team the players mentioned are also realistic acquisitions (depending on whether Begovic is happy to sit on Chelski's bench or play 1st team football). Then use whatever funds that have been made available to go and buy 2 decent full backs which we have been crying out for for years now.
I would personally take a punt on Glenn Johnson on a free

Borini is pants! Never made it at Liverpool who has a better team than us but you never know. TS has to go all out for Townsend as he's a great player just doesn't get enough game time.i also agree with max as glen Johnson could still do a job.strenghten the defence a lot with him and Richards.if players don't want to play for the villa then let them leave.id rather have someone that's wants it more than someone that turns up to get paid!

Sherwood was not agreeable at QPR or Baggies as they would not guarantee funds for him so what is Lerner doing even considering him for the job.

I think you will find his record was the best any spurs manager has had in the premier league, win percentage of just over 59%. So it's time to get behind the new manager as today it was his half time influence that made the difference

Im happy with the signings so far but forget that waste of time from spurs. I'd be happy with lennon but I still think we need a proper quality goal scorer and I'd love us to sign praet. Fingers crossed for tomorrow

Hi all 1st post even though I've been following the sight for ages. I agree with kiddyavfc that the type of signings are good as they are all have good technical ability and Gestede is just a battering ram of a player. I think we still need a proven premier league goal scorer to add to promise we have signed. Would also love players linked in Praet, Adama and the young Columbian CB. Walker or Yeldin from Spurs would be icing on cake. Good luck 2day Villa boys let our season roar.

What a bunch of over paid useless f@#kin t##ts I have officially given up on villa they frustrate and piss me off so much.
1.) Totally agree, 54 years i have been supporting this side, and tonight has finally made me realise what a waste of time and money i, ve made on this shambles of a club. no more i'm afraid mr lerner no more.
2.) There is only so much u can take and as I think it will get worse before it gets better so I've had enough I won't be going anymore as I don't think the other thousands should keep goin! Something needs to change
3.) Well I have to say collectively as a team we are shocking.
Our Manager is no more than a title on paper, he is clueless.
Spuds were not great but I just new what was coming, they were streets ahead of us.
We will drop too 16th tomorrow night
and maybe the bottom 3 come mid November.
If we do not make changes now, we will go down for sure.
I think the only way to consolidate our safety is to sack lambert "NOW" and for Lerner to go s*** or bust and give the new manager 40m to get some quality in.
4.) Dave, I agree with ya but it just ain't going to happen is it. We are in a relegation battle and it's going to be a long season which will probably see us in the championship next season. What the f##kin hell has happen to avfc.

Totally agree apart from the moyes bit. I honestly thought we would go there tonight and get a result. To get beat 2-0 is a absolute joke! Something has got to change.
