He's also being linked with Liverpool but (my opinion is) that's just lazy journalism. They had a bid rejected for him last summer and went for Balotelli instead. Press assuming because that hasn't worked out, Rogers would look back to his first choice as a replacement. I'm not sure there is any substance to that.

FFP 'in principal' is a good idea but has been poorly executed. The result is the 'big' clubs remain 'big' and no other teams can speculatively invest in order to catch up. Will be interesting to see what they come up with to allow clubs to invest speculatively without ruining themselves. If they can nail that, it will be excellent for football in general.
