Rogers does give the ball away a lot and that's because he's young and he tries to beat players. He goes missing in games because he's adapting to playing at the highest level for a lot of minutes. If he stays, he will get better. If he goes for £100M + and we reinvest the money wisely, then that's also good for us.
Regarding our finances; we are going to be in this position for a few years so we must get used to it, but I don't see how after getting money for Malen and Guessand.

Sancho, Elliott and Luiz going back. P. L., Europa League and next season C. L. money coming in. Sales/release of obvious, Bailey, Garcia, Mings, Barkley and youngsters that aren't going to play for us, Louie Barry, Lewis Dobbin etc. How does this not help us not needing to sell Rogers?

I think the SCR issue is as big a problem as PSR. We are at the upper end of what we are allowed to carry, which is, I believe, circa 70% of income. In terms of outgoings, we are likely to struggle to shift the likes of Bailey and Mings on because of salary demands; both are on in excess of £100k, and I'm not sure teams will be willing to pay that for either of them.

I reckon it's all bs paper talk about our PSR 'situation'. It just seems to me the press don't like us, think our better players would be better off somewhere else. For example, Rogers to Chelsea, not even in Europe next season, why would he leave? They keep on hammering this 1, £80M. Rogers gonna be a big player in the World Cup, his price will double that £80M if he plays well/we win. I'm hearing that Senisi & Mingueza on frees are pretty much nailed on, there's 2 starters that are gonna cost less in wages than Sancho alone.

We only need a few more players to freshen things up. Soule looks an interesting 1, & if you go back, he & Enzo are best friends, maybe he's gonna come back to the fold from Benfica, so there's another what would be like a new signing for free. I think we're gonna be ok. ??

Is that according to the same sources that were selling Rogers to at least 3 clubs (can only sign for 1. ??‍♂️) for £60M, Nez? Got 1 of those sources saying Senesi wants to stay in the Premier League & has held talks with Spurs, done deal then, even though the window isn't open yet.... ?

Transfer Market has Enzo coming back from his loan, so he hasn't signed for Benfica yet. Looking back, it was 'reported' that there was an obligation to buy, but I haven't seen anywhere that he's signed yet, & with the rumours about us being after Soule (his best friend) & Jose going to Real from Benfica, I'd say that there's a chance that he might not want to sign for Benfica.

Just putting it out there. ??‍♂️

Hi all, been a while since I've posted but I have been keeping an eye on what's being said on here. First of all I hope you're all well.
What a season this is turning out to be.
Absolutely fantastic from where we were when Unai took over. Yes, we've had some bumps in the road but that is going to happen and we as fans have to accept that. We're not City or Arsenal where we can expect to win most of the time and Europe and trophies are expected.

Enjoy the ride for what it is.

I'd rather be where we are than Spurs, considering where the 2 teams were when Unai took over.

Going forward from here with the financial restraints we have, I think we have to be savvy in the upcoming transfer window.

I think Dougie, Harvey, Jadon, Leon will go. SJM will be used more centrally. We need 2 RW's. Maatsen will deputise for both Digne and Buendia on the left with Morgan playing out there when needed, if he stays. We might move Mings on and also buy Harvey Elliott from Liverpool for less than the 35M obligation as his value has probably decreased over this season. If possible I would like a younger replacement for Ty and proper cover for Cash.
