So Chelsea have record losses on FFP, can go out and spend nearly 50mil on rb. I suppose 1 rule for them, another rule for every1 else. I really do think that our owners and other chairmen should take the league to court. It's not fair.

Dan, I think we've tried to get the limit raised, something to do with it not taking inflation into account, something along the lines of when it was introduced (just saying a thereabouts figure here, not facts), it was £120M of losses at that time, but with inflation since it was introduced, a figure like £140M would be more up to date, kinda like, say, I was earning £50K a year 10 years ago would be with inflation equivalent to earning £70K to the present day, but still earning £50K even though the price of goods (or players in football terms) costs more, we've tried to put that forward but only takes 1 club in the Prem to shoot it down for it not to be put in place, that's my understanding of it.

As with all the speculation so far being far fetched (latest 1 we’re willing to drop our price for Rogers to £80M 🙄) & not even worth a click till the window opens, been window shopping for the positions we’re apparently looking at before anyone leaves or at all, I’d go for (excuse any spelling) ⬇️.

Mbaye PSG LW/RW/No10 £35M+.
Dju Mitdjlland No9/RW £20M+.
Yes I know we might need a keeper, centre half etc but till anyone leaves time to speculate on those positions then.

There's no chance we budge if they want Rodgers, 120mil plus, easy. The market's gone crazy, plus Rodgers is only 22 and has a contract until 2031. All the power is in Villa's hands.

Agree, A72. I love the transfer rumours, but cant stand that media try and sell our players. Media dont do it to the other CL clubs, while Spurs getting linked and signing every top going, yet they have finished 17th two seasons in a row. I dont think they will get Tonali, but they might get Fernandez. Hes good, but not worth nowhere near 80 mil.

Just re watching, when “England ruled Europe pt 2” 81-82 what a season. Ron Saunders, hard hard man, but so underrated, why he left only him and Doug Ellis know. Doug did hell of a lot for Villa, but also did some ridiculous things. One of his worst was breaking up that Euro side, purely out of jealousy, because he hadn’t been involved.
The side had shown just how good they were, with the right investment they could have gone on to greater things, instead relegation threatened. Brilliant programme, great to relive that part of our history. UTV.
