Was fed up of Man U on Sky, and Andy Burnham on the news, so I watched the game again.
That I think was the best game Iv seen Cash have, all over Doku like a rash, he set the tone of the whole side, with his aggression. It like a light bulb has gone off and Allyson has become a man on a mission, he is playing with pace and once again aggression. Jackson I think will have surprised a lot of people, with just how well he's settled in, and he also has pace, aggression and can certainly score goals. A lot of teams I reckon, will be scratching their heads, and trying to work out how they didn't know about Suzuki, what a signing he's turning out to be.
For that game, you could go through the whole team one by one, and shout how well they played. This shows just how good Emery is at team building, the way it's going, he's building a young, hungry side filled with pace and an abundance of ability. This is one in the eye for all these high paid know nothing pundits, who've been shouting with excitement, that's it Villa are done, all their best players have left them, obviously not knowing Emery, would replace them with better ones HaHa. Exciting times ahead for us, as long as the injuries bogey keeps away. UTV KEEP THE FAITH.

Based on today's games the league table is changing by the minute, we need to continue our run to keep in touch with the likes of Newcastle, Brentford, there are a few others like Leeds and a few more that will probably fall by the wayside.
I missed the kick off because of traffic yesterday and heard boos as I got in to the ground,I thought it was because we had been turned around by city kicking towards the Holte first half, just read from a journalists article that it was Emery's decision to kick this way to pressure City early on and did it work, Emery master class all round.

I think this is correct, Man City have only lost 3 times in the league this calendar year. 2 of those defeats are against Villa.

Did you hear, City manager post match interview, what a load of rubbish. City were in complete control of the game, he was forced into taking players who had been booked off, because he was frightened of the Villa crowd, influencing the ref. Now I don't know what game he was watching but, I thought the ref gave them a few decisions against us that looked a bit iffy ln the second half.
But are we bothered, we've heard it all before, we've got the 3 points, be great to actually find out what problem these officials have with the Villa, and who's influencing them UTV.

They haven't won in 4 or 5 years at Villa park, they asked him what did he think city were doing wrong over those games, he said he only knew about today's game as he wasn't in charge for the others, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the clueless idiot pep's number 2 for quiet a few of those defeats, all smiles and laughing trying to hide the fact he was sick over it.
complete control is laughable, they were behind after 6 mins and only managed to keep it level for 8 mins after their equaliser where haaland thought he was Frankie dettori and thought Lindelof was shergar. how that wasn't chalked off is beyond me.

Maresca is sort of right as he was there for our draw in 2022 but had left before they started losing.
Match recordings and analysis is a thing and there are players who have been there so he must have some idea why they've been losing.
I agree about the control, we had it all in the first half, 95% possession against City for the first 10 minutes is astounding.
Second half we did let them have a lot of the ball but we were mostly in control, I still think they got enough opportunities and positions that a good City side would have at least equalised.

I forgot he had the spell at Leicester. I'll give him a little more credit then, but not much lol. I thought his interview was quiet disrespectful and reminded me a bit of Arteta. they had a couple of good chances, we had a couple of good chances, stats say they had more shots but quiet a few of them outside the box and mostly shots you would expect any top level PL keeper to save.
for a few seasons now we have often mentioned on here that Emery often doesn't have a plan B when the slow build up and possession game doesn't work, with the speed of our attacking players now we have that plan B.

What a performance that was big shout out to Matty Cash today didn't give doku anything was straight on him the goalkeeper and the back 4 were fantastic along with the rest of the team solid 3 points!

Another Emery Masterclass and not for the first team beating Man City. I agree Cash was outstanding, all of the team did exactly what they were supposed to do. I overheard a young lad sat next to me asking his dad if he could, how many of the five who left would he want back, none was the answer.
The upgrade on Martinez, Watkins is amazing, The replacements for the others are more than capable. Gives a real buzz to the weekend when Emery can work his magic. Can't see many of the starters today playing against Bournemouth in the cup be an interesting line up.

Doku who, class performance today by Cash, never gave him a kick, in his pocket. What an utter complete performance, by the whole team, never gave them any space, all game. All over the pitch, our pace and intensity destroyed them. Once again, second half, the ref tried his hardest to give them something, for the life of me, couldn't understand that booking of big Brian.
Jackson is looking better every game, the way hes taking his goals. Man U looking at this, must be prepared to offer Emery, anything he wants, hope he's enjoying it as much as us and tells them to sod off. Came home walking on air, a few pundits and Sky will be upset by it, but our excitement levels are rising and rising UTV.

The yellow at the throw in (Manzambi?) was the one that annoyed me. He didn't move the ball any more than City did throughout the whole game on our set pieces.

No i wont every manager deserves time to turn it around i did really think we would struggle cos we lost our spine but been proven wrong again, i hope owners give unai new contract to keep from other clubs,it seems like unai is even more excited about the new villa 2.0.
