IV, totally agree, however there is probably another side to the story, Ollie and Jamie Redknapp are good friends, Ollie obviously wanted to get his feelings across and Jamie was able to facilitate it. Players have to accept the manager will always have the final word. Ollie was definitely fired up yesterday, Emery may well say his selections have been vindicated. Totally agree about Tielemans player of the season for me.

Dave D, what did you think of Mings today, how Tom can ridicule him shows he watches a different game to the rest of us.Torres didn't even make the bench today, lack of pace, poor heading ability doesn't work in the premier league.

Today I haven’t slated mings however did he do anything that made you think wow glad we have him at centre back mr hit and hope. I simply just point out that everytime I watch torrers he reads the game so well and his passing is some of the best I have seen from a centre back

Dave Mings is Mr reliable, as you say some don’t seem to notice the amount of shots he cuts out or blocks . Same with Ginny, another of Toms favourites, the way Emery is using him, he knows he can go flat out for 70 minutes. Ginny's last few games he’s been back to his best, certainly plays a captains game . UTV 👍😷

Agree with mcguin the last 2 games he has been back to as he once was. However playing as a number 10 for most of the season the stats don’t lie.

Tom, I am afraid we will always disagree about Mings. Yesterday he was calm at the back, his balls out were measured and found his men, his long balls were not hit and hope they completely cut out the Newcastle middle 3.
At the back he showed what leadership is, he was marshalling Konza and Maatesan and it showed in how few chances Newcastle had.

Pluffy, nailed on comments, long before Mings came back from injury I highlighted Torres weaknesses, yes he is good bringing the ball out, however at the top level defenders need pace and aerial dominance, Torres lacks both. When we were shipping goals a plenty Torres was at the heart of the defence and Konsa is at times a liability, this improves with Mings next to him. Our goal difference has improved with Mings in the team. Yesterday his distribution and control was every bit the same as Torres, without the defensive weakness.

Amazing performance, PSG match clearly lit a fire under the team.
Absolute masterclass from Watkins, bit of luck with the goal but unlucky to miss out on the perfect hattrick. Whole team performance revolved around him.
Asensio shows how mad football can be, scoring goals for fun and suddenly couldn't score for toffee.

What a difference a squad makes, absolutely fantastic performance. A midfield that cost us about 2and half mill, and we absolutely bullied them, all the game . An overall brilliant team performance, but Captain fantastic did it once again, a captains performance. Ollie was certainly out to prove a point, his running non stop was great today . When you've got a bench today and can bring Rashford and Malan on it speaks volumes about how we've progressed.
Man City next, I bet Pep wouldn't of liked to see that today UTV
