When we went on a great run after someone was calling for Unai to go, that certain someone was nowhere to be seen on here after he was proven wrong again. Now we are on a bad run, that certain someone has come from under his stone to raise his absolute tosh again.
May I remind that certain someone things always come back to bite you in the arris and that that stone is only overturned ever so slightly for you to get back under embarrassing!

Well the timing of you coming back on here says otherwise facts. You are what is commonly known as a fair weather fan a prawn sandwich brigade a fan not a supporter a fan facts.Whilst I'm on the subject of facts let's be clear what Unai has achieved whilst being at MY club.
Europe 3 seasons on the trot
Quickest Villa manager to 100 wins
More records broken than any other manager
Better win percentage than any other manager
Highest finishes in the PL than we've had in 20 years.
Respected by players
Anything else I've missed?
And all this whilst being governed by financial rules and in the last 6 weeks injuries are you that blind and blinkered not to see this?
Oh and another thing 8 out of the starting 11 on Sunday was players bought by Smith or Gerrard and we are still 4th.ive got the twigs holding your stone up and I'm ready to kick them over again so that you can crawl back under it!

Just an observation, Daz. The fact we still have so many of Smith's players, after Emery has spent £450m, shows just how poor his recruitment has been.
As much as I love Emery, his moaning about PSR seems a touch tainted, considering he's had ample opportunity to improve the squad, and has ultimately failed in the main.
His defeatist attitude is winding me up of late, particularly coming out saying the result Sunday was what he expected. I seem to remember Gerrard getting pelters for saying a similar thing prior to us playing Chelsea.
Emery has done a superb job in his time, but he's not immune to being questioned.

No point speaking to him, Dan Orless, u agree with everything he says.

Our recruitment has been scandalous, VJ and Dan, and to add insult to injury we go back to three who failed: Dougie, Bailey, and Tammy. Add Guessand, Onana, and Malen, all Emery signings. Success is measured in many ways: recruitment, trophies, and league position. Is one of three enough? Obviously not for a few of us.

I think the criticism of Emery's transfer business is a little unfair. I think he has made somewhere in the region of 20 signings whilst he has been in charge at Villa. Of those signings, I would say Duran, Diaby, Rogers, Tielemans, Onana, Torres, Malen and, much to my surprise, Lindelof have been good signings. The next group, I would say, have been ok: those are Barkley, Maatsen, Moreno and even Bizot.
Players like Barrenchea, Nedjelkovic, Gauci, Illing-Junior and Garcia have never really been given a chance, although Barrenchea has done well at Valencia and Benfica. The only ones I would categorise as out and out failures would be Guessand and Elliot, and in fairness, in the latter's case, it isn't his fault.

£37.5m for "ok" Maatsen proves my point. Whinges about restrictions, then blows big money on players who haven't made us better overall.

No manager ever gets all his transfer business right. To say it's poor based on one bad signing isn't fair, and incidentally he isn't a bad player in my opinion. He has got more right than not in my opinion.
What I do think is that our summer business needs to focus more on younger players. We have an ageing squad and need more pace, particularly at the back.
