Pervis Estupinan, will he be Digne's replacement?
Played well for Brighton and I for one will be happy with this signing.

When I've watched us play against him, I don't know what it was, but I feared him, thought we wouldn't get past him, & looked dangerous going forward, shade of Bouma about him, 1 tough bloke, could see him being a cult player should we sign him. ?

UTV.

2.) 13 Jul 2026 21:12:27
Yep he's a good player. I rate him.

According to Companies House Nassef and Wes have ceased with Villa. Does this mean Comcast are taking over?

Villadaz

1.) 08 Jul 2026 00:54:45
What's all this about?

2.) 08 Jul 2026 09:05:09
No idea, Whack, whether it's a way of transferring ownership over, but keep them as Chairmen. I just don't know. Been trying to delve into it more, but can't find anything more.

3.) 08 Jul 2026 12:21:30
Is Comcast one of their businesses?

4.) 09 Jul 2026 07:07:36
They haven't ceased with Villa. They have just sold enough shares/voting rights that they each do not have enough percentage to make a decision without shareholder approval.
As there is now no person or business listed as having significant control, it means there are at least 4 investors with 25% or less each, and the investors are independent enough to not be assumed to take sides.

They could sell their shares to one of the others, but if that had already happened, then there would need to already be another name on Companies House.

Villa took a loan out in October to purchase land at Westwood Industrial Park by VP rumours have it its to rehouse the people by Doug Ellis stand so that we can expand and also for the new train station the loan is on Company House.

Garnacho here we go.
Let's get behind him and make him feel loved like we did with Rashford.

I saw a stat earlier that Chelsea's win % when he started was around 76%, and was less than 30% when he didn't.
When I've watched him, he has the potential to frustrate, but provides pace and directness we don't really have.

2.) 22 Jul 2026 19:15:44
That is a true stat, RK. Some were writing him off before he started for us. I remember a certain Mr Malen somewhere saying he wasn't good enough for us. We need strength in depth, and I believe he is going to surprise some pundits and fans alike.

Sales are booked straight away on the accounts.

Purchases are amortized over length of contract.

So let's hypothetically say we've bought Pervis £12m/Manzambi £50m & Gomes £35m and they're all on 5 year contracts?

That will register as:

Pervis £2.5m
Manzambi £10m
Gomes £7m

Add there wages too, so add say another £15m (combined)

That means Villa's outlay this window is roughly £35m we're comfortable and could probably spend another £100m comfortably in the same way.Am I correct in saying this Ed?

Villadaz

{Ed001's Note - you are correct in that purchases can be amortised over a period, but it is not the length of contract any more, just up to 5 years, even if the player has a 20 year contract. They did that as Chelsea were handing out 8 year contracts to spread the costs of buying out.}

1.) 18 Jul 2026 21:47:35
Cheers for clarifying Ed
We are now in good stead with PSR/SCR.
Let the beast loose!

We've made 35 million in sales so far, Dobbin to Southampton for 9 million, and I expect a few fringe players to leave to generate the 60 million.

Villa have already made nigh on £35m in sales since Jan 1st, which is the beginning of the UEFA accounting period, so the £35m profit banked already / 3 (prorated over 3 years) = an £11.7m effective boost to the allowance this period.

That basically cancels out the £11.9m annual amortisation hit from the Manzambi deal, and, let's be frank, there's still a whole window to go, so it's a non-issue.

Simple Math:

£59.6m (70m)
/
5 years (amortisation)
=
£11.9m per season.

(Wages are a non-issue, given who's off the books already: Sancho, Luiz, Elliott, Barry, Malen, Barrenechea).

This transfer has effectively cost Villa (#avfc) £11.9m p/a + £3-5m p/a in wages.

We stood still in 82 when we should have evolved. We are not making that mistake again, as long as Unai is at the helm, we have nothing to fear.

The reason we are doing what we are doing, Scott, is to lower the wage bill so we comply with SCR. We can give new players a bigger signing on fee, but with lower wages, I'm led to believe we have a lot of wiggle room now, so expect at least another 4-5 signings in the region of 25-60 million.
