I am new to this forum and decided to join after our result against Brighton and the following negative reaction that followed. As my name suggests I now live in Australia but follow the Villa through thick and thin. I was there in 1970 standing in the Holte End as we were relegated into the Third Division.

I have seen many managers come and go at Villa Park and only two stand out as true managers, who are strategic, patient, team builders, motivators and true winners.

The first was Ron Saunders, and now Unai Emery. Emery has achieved so much within huge constraints and always looked at developing, improving and building a winning team.

As a Villa fan I have learned that it takes time to build a side. Unai Emery is like a chess master who builds his side with a plan and expects standards from his players. We now need patience and to give Emery our full support.

To all those Snowflakes who have been whinging and complaining I say this; it is at times like this that you get behind Emery and the team and the results will come. He is the best manager we have had and I do not want to lose him.

G'day Sport! ? You're 100% right, biggest thing this summer for Villa is Unai not being tempted by any of the jobs that have come up. He's irreplaceable, in Unai we trust. ?

My biggest fear is Emery loses patience with the EPL and all the BS that goes with it.
He is one of the top managers in the world of football.
Simply cannot afford to see him go.
I don't think for one minute that any decision like that would be made because of comments made on websites like this or in social media.

He's smarter than that.
Oh, and welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll smile, laugh and even be angered by some of the comments on here, but we all want the same, success.

100% not his fault what's happened. 2nd half of the season, we'll have bedded in the newbies and can hopefully progress up the league, if indeed we're not there already.

I can't say I've seen people blame Emery for what's going on. It's not his fault, and he can only use the players available.
