Mbaye ???? UTV

Davedean82

1.) 28 Aug 2026 17:30:51
This is the one, Dave: fast, skillful and young. This excites me.

2.) 28 Aug 2026 18:56:07
Still need Centre Half, unless Emery thinking of Cese, the kid looks good, can play D/M as well. Embay only 18, but what a talent he could become. What an exciting front line now UTV.

3.) 28 Aug 2026 19:41:47
Sure is, Dave. Hopefully we can get Mbaye over the line. I can't stress enough how good this kid is.

4.) 28 Aug 2026 21:23:42
I hope we get him, but even though Liverpool will sign Barcola, I fear that because rumours are that Gakpo will go to Spurs, they will come in at the last minute and nick the kid from under our nose.

5.) 28 Aug 2026 22:49:15
Way to put a dampener on it, Lotm. ??

6.) 29 Aug 2026 09:50:37
Just realistic, Whack. Liverpool are past masters at doing this kind of thing. They let other clubs do the groundwork, and nip in at the last minute to seal the deal. Munoz was going to Newcastle, Jacquet to Chelsea, and where did they end up. ??‍♂️

24 Aug 2026 21:56:42
Just seen on Rasta Lion Facebook, reckons Ollie stopping. Supposedly in today apologised to rest to rest of players, had meeting with Emery and trained with Tramzambi. Hope in a way it’s true, a lot of explaining to do, but would solve a lot of problems UTV.

Davedean82

1.) 25 Aug 2026 13:00:24
With Villa once again being linked with Mattetta, the Ollie thing looks like a load of rubbish.
Any comment on Villa on Sky today is all about Emery leaving, wouldn't Sky just love that UTV.

2.) 25 Aug 2026 17:12:15
I hope it's not true. I think Emery is probably thinking I will show those Wan***s just how good a manager I am by rebuilding a better side.
He has done exactly that at previous clubs, and I wouldn't bet against him.
My worry is that the owners might just get fed up at not being able to invest in success that they sell up.

19 Aug 2026 20:03:32
Seen rumours of Tosin from Chelsea, must admit wasn’t that keen, until my lad showed me his stats. Defensively he’s on a par with Konsa, certainly makes more tackles and %94 accuracy passing. Best of all he’s English, that’s needed for our quota in Europe, so overall stats and all he perhaps looks the part. UTV.

Davedean82

1.) 19 Aug 2026 21:14:46
He's 28 & they want £30-£35M for him & they don't want him, it's a no for me. ??‍♂️

UTV.

2.) 19 Aug 2026 21:37:47
I'd prefer Tomori from AC Milan, aggressive tackler and quick, plus his price is circa £20 million.

3.) 19 Aug 2026 21:51:37
There's a Belgian lad called Debast who plays for Sporting that the big guns have been sniffing round. Might be worth a look at. ??‍♂️

UTV.

4.) 20 Aug 2026 00:25:30
We'd better make sure we don't pick up all the s**** players that the top clubs are trying to unload to us as part of their plan to keep us down! Beware!

5.) 20 Aug 2026 08:33:57
Looking at Tosin's stats and profile though, he appears attractive. Apparently he just doesn't fit Alonso's tactical vision?

6.) 20 Aug 2026 14:00:24
Tomori is in the last year of his contract, so they're saying EUR10-15M for him.

UTV

7.) 20 Aug 2026 14:40:33
Even if we sign Tomori, I think we would need another centre half, as Mings is 33 and a tad injury prone.

8.) 20 Aug 2026 15:22:16
Mings must be unloaded! Makes me nervous every time.

9.) 21 Aug 2026 08:51:30
Does the rule that we can't trade with Chelsea until 42 days have elapsed since we sold Rogers to them, otherwise we don't get full value for the £117m on the BS as far as UEFA are concerned, not apply anymore?

16 Jul 2026 13:47:25
Rumours of two medicals happening, hope it’s correct UTV.

Davedean82

1.) 16 Jul 2026 15:58:35
Manzambi and Gomes, I presume. ?

06 Jun 2026 21:01:30
Ollie, Rogers, Rashford with Kane helping out, not a bad forward line.

Ruggeri, Bellis fitted in great, in fact all the new lads looked the part. Hemmings and Allyson playing really well, we now have some great youngsters. Biggest surprise of the night was Barkley, lasting a full 90, he's frightening when facing his own goal. Lost count of the amount of balls Barkley and Bogart gave away, then Buendia came on and he started. Get Spurs out the way and Emery will have some time to work with them.

Was impressed with Harwood Bellis, didn't miss a thing all night, give him time and we have Konsa's replacement. The Garnacho mystery seems to deepen, tonight you'd have thought, was an ideal opportunity, obviously Emery has his reasons. You can see, when we get a full side eventually playing,, the makings are there for some vast improvement, to what we've seen so far. UTV.

Davedean82

1.) 16 Sep 2026 22:56:49
Pretty much summed it all up there Dave. I know we will have a lot tougher games to play but Mbaye looks the part and looks like he should be in our best 11 at the moment. Bogarde going backwards since Christmas. anyone know why Bizot went off? Injured or is he just rubbish? At least we are back creating chances and getting shots on target, Tuesday, Saturday and today were a huge improvement on the first few games.
bellis had a good debut, can't see him get in ahead of victor just yet but he will be good for the future.
Don't know what's happening with Garnacho but I don't see a future for him at villa either a manager like Emery, I know it's a waste of wages but I really hope he gets no game time and we don't have to sign him, I really don't want him at our club I hope he's gone in January, I think we are well stocked for wide players with alysson, Mbaye, MaGinn, Buendia, Hemmings, and Manzambi can also play wide if needed, I just don't see what Garnacho brings, he was a flash in the pan, lots of players have had similar careers.

HEY another positive from tonight, we can't get united in the next round ? Brighton looking very good this season.

2.) 16 Sep 2026 23:26:24
Nice to see Tammy get two, great ball from Harwood Bellis and great pass from Hemmings. Bogard knows he's not playing well enough, the kid looks terrified, every time he gets the ball, feel sorry for him, because he has served us well at times. Whack I'm excited by these kids, I think given the chance, things could get up and running UTV.

12 Sep 2026 19:44:11
Don't know why Jackson went off, other than a knock, Tammy proved once again that he's not the answer. The injuries today certainly didn't help, especially the one to Maartsen, 10 men is never good.

Kamara once again didn't seem right, Barkley after half hour is knackered, the whole team today looked leggy. Allyson took his goal well and great to see the new lads get on, UTV.

Davedean82

1.) 13 Sep 2026 10:54:54
As per reports Dave he took him off because he was walking a tightrope as per Abrahams, he is a waste of space and as soon as we can get rid I would.

2.) 13 Sep 2026 12:00:21
We did try to get rid of Tammy but he wouldn't leave. We're gonna need another couple of months before we're competitive consistently.

09 Sep 2026 11:17:01
It seem some not that sure of Jackson, must admit, I wasn't to sure when Ollie decided to chase the money. From what I've seen, Jackson has a much better first touch, more aggressive, won’t be bullied and with the right service, will definitely get us goals. With all these new players, it’s a wait and see and hope. Excited by Hemmings, people say he’s our new Ramsey, from what I’ve seen so far, he’s better, took a bit of stick for not scoring, but he’s 19, let him get over the excitement when he gets his first and more will follow.

My lad was showing me photos of the Brugge away end, absolutely disgustingly filthy, certainly nothing for them to be proud of. UTV

Davedean82

{Ed001's Note - what was that in the away end Dave? I missed that as i got the times mixed up and missed your game. I forgot about the early kick offs like a divvy.}

1.) 09 Sep 2026 14:59:43
Ed001yes it was in the away end, didn't want to make them too comfy, I suppose. UTV

08 Sep 2026 19:59:18
Come on you moaning buggers, pick the bones out of that one HaHa. Where is Tom to slag Ginny off, what a shift he put in, Ginny not Tom. All three goals brilliant, two with skill and one with sheer effort by Jackson. He has got better and better, his first touch, holding the ball up and runs are great. Suszuki and Hemming will both become firm favourites, Hemmings had hard luck, he could have had a couple tonight. I know there will be at least one of you, who won’t be able to control yourselves without moaning.

Gomes was brilliant, all over the park, at least he looked fit, shame about his card. Can you explain how their keeper, wasn’t at least booked, for handling the ball outside the box, didn’t get that one at all.
When you consider the improvement since Brighton, still with more players to come in, the sky's the limit. I know Claret and Blue tinted specs, but that’s what we deserve UTV.

Davedean82

1.) 08 Sep 2026 20:57:17
Dave, it's not about moaning, it's about commenting on what you see. Of course it's a great result, but there were issues. How easy we were to play through at times; we struggled against an average side who made us look defensively awkward against pace. Constructive debate should never be confused with moaning.

I love John McGinn, but he lost the ball far too many times in the second half and put us under unnecessary pressure. Three points to open our account is brilliant, and when we add our missing class on the pitch, we should start to get some of our performances to get back on track.

2.) 08 Sep 2026 21:26:58
My only moan is Mbaye still hasn't got a run out. Didn't care what kind of win we got tonight so long as we got the 3 points.
Only got to watch the first half because of work. I did get to listen to the second half.

It sounded like we were under pressure, but we hung in.
I have to say I'm super impressed with Hemmings, and already love Suzuki. His distribution is unreal.

Football a game of opinions, but some on here change theirs, more than they change their socks. Go back after the Arsenal game, the opinion was, obviously with all the new player, it will take time, but we believe in Emery, after yesterday suddenly it's all change again.
Brighton game, two cockups by Pau, sent us in a tiz, but Emery sorted it second half.
Arsenal game, everyone one here more than happy with the way we played.
Yesterday dire game, but we got a point and had shots at goal, if chances had gone in, you wouldn't have been moaning.

The initial excitement of last week, about the players we had brought and Emery coaching them, certainly didn't last long with some. This is my 68th season, so I've seen all this before, this is all part of being a Villa fan. Ups and down, highs and lows, and if you're honest, the highs we've had with Emery have been very good. So give your heads a wobble and have some of that patience, we were talking about last week. UTV

Davedean82

1.) 06 Sep 2026 19:20:14
True, Dave. Still unsure about Jackson though.

2.) 06 Sep 2026 21:57:20
I think Jackson could thrive if we can get some quality behind him.

They reckon they weren't happy with his injury. Chelsea on the fiddle again, sold Kellerman for £5 m to their own team in Salzburg, very corrupt but very clever. UTV.

Shrew, having the worst midfield available, last night didn't help, Borgard bereft of any confidence and Barkley to slow and a liability when facing his own goal. UTV.

VJ said it before, if Emery read your posts he would be off. Emery every speech he makes, first thing he talks of is the fans, as long as he feels that he has the fans he will stop.

Posters on here, have called you negative, but I believe it's now gone past that. Everyone has the right of their opinion, but yours is just poison. UTV.

VJ, Emery would want nothing more than to play all the new ones, but he can't if they are not yet fit or ready. If he rushed them in before ready, and they didn't work out, a lot of others besides you would be moaning. We have to be patient, the International break, seems to have just come at the right time.

For those having a go at Hemmings, just think he's 19, was playing u21football, now playing Premier, including the Brugge game that he'll of a lot of games for him. UTV.
