With the North Stand, I went in there the year it opened, had my front row seat for 35yrs. Was wondering if with all these alterations upheaval, if the club will open up, some of the corporate seats, the ones they aren’t selling regularly. As far as my seat is concerned, myself and a lot of others surrounding mine, where only saying Sunday, hope they don’t decide to take these as more corporate seats.
Before I get hammered and told that this is needed progression, we’re hoping it doesn’t happen, but put yourself in our position, if it was your seat. UTV.

9 players involved in that first goal. What a cracker UTV.

Class goal, mate.

Reports that Rogers could look for a move if we don’t get C/L football next season, if he feels that strongly, why don’t he get his finger out and help get it. You can’t blame Villas lack of form on one player, but his sudden lack of form certainly come at the wrong time. UTV.

Can’t see him playing, but they reckon Ginny could be in the squad for Lille. Rather they unleash him against Man Utd, his energy and drive, is what we’ve been missing UTV.

Got the draw, beautiful goal by Rogers . The Brazilian kid of theirs, took his goal well, but aided and abetted by Digna playing statues . Onana was brilliant, lost count of the headers he won, amazed he got the 90 mins . Sancho played some nice stuff first half, but second half we had a lot of players looking very leggy . You may as well of played my Mrs, for Bailey, every 50-50 he lost, just no commitment.
Ollie time and again, just doesn't attack any balls put across the box, surprised that Tammy didn't get on earlier. Got to give it them, the amount of pressure they put on us . But in saying that, we helped second half, by not putting two passes together .
At least we never lost, back on track for a top four . UTV

I think Mings has to take some responsibility for it aswel he gave him 2 much space to shoot, he does give better support to Martinez for corners and set piece into the box but defending in open play he’s not good enough for the PL.
feel sorry for Lindelof he was playing better than both Mings and Torres when he lost his place. it’s going to be a long few weeks waiting for tielemans to come back. missed maginn tenacity big time aswel

Still trying to get my head around last night's load of rubbish. The whole thing was like an out of body experience. Starting with team selection, couldn’t understand that at all, if we were playing a lower league team in the cup then yes. Playing a team fighting for its life no, playing a game with what it more or less guaranteed no. Some player who hadn’t played a full 90 mins for weeks, if he was resting players, why play Rogers, who everyone can agree looks like he needs a rest.
Emery hisself was very strange, usually like an animated giro bunny, last night he was like a cardboard cut out, no emotion at all.
You could see, the confidence of the team disappear from the first mistake, this lead to mistake after mistake. Didn’t look like any plan any system and the longer it went, the worse it got, also couldn’t understand why he waited so ridiculously long to try and change it. This now puts so much pressure on Thursday and our other games, pressure that would have been lifted if we’d won. Didn’t like the booing either, can understand the frustration, but still wouldn’t boo.
On now to Thursday, now even bigger game a must win UTV.

Complete utter embarrassment.
When Tottenham saw that team sheet, they must of thought were in here. Just can’t understand Emeries thinking, tonight was so important, a win would have taken so much pressure off Thursday. When you have a team, bottom of the league, you don’t stand off them and make them look like they’ve got 13 players.
Lindeloff the only one who can hold his head up, the rest should hang their heads in shame, you play a team like that, if your playing a lower league team in the cup, not a team fighting for their lives.
Emery always talks about the fans being important, sorry to say tonight with his decisions, he’s lost the fans. Once again totally embarrassing. UTV.

Once again, not taking our chances has come back to bite us. Can’t understand why he keeps starting with Buendia, always looks better when a sub. Digna, you only put your arms up like that on a rollercoaster, can’t understand what he was thinking. Also, with a player like Hutchinson, you don’t let him back onto his left foot. Ginny not at his best tonight; some of his passing was way off, fantastic player but we need him at his best.
You can understand the ref wanting to keep the game going, but in doing that, he let a few tackles on Ollie and Rogers go. Anderson a good player but tonight he was allowed to get away with murder, that follow through on Ollie was half way up his ankle. Emery seemed happy with result, but we have to play better than that next Thursday.
Let’s hope we can pile on the misery for Tottenham on Sunday. Utv

Dave, unfortunately, we only seem to be able to pile misery on ourselves.

Pretty fair summary there, Davedean - we all know there's a core of the squad that Emery trusts and several players that, understandably, he doesn't. I suspect they will be doing all they can to get them out. But, in the meantime, I can understand starting Buendia over Sancho and Bailey... despite his poor performance tonight, he's far more reliable than those two and at least puts a shift in.
We've had nearly 12 months of over-the-top reactions from fans... some saying we'll be in for a relegation battle after our poor start, others getting frustrated when we're not keeping pace with some of the best teams in the country after an excellent run of form. The reality is that, thanks to Emery, we're continuing, on average, to overperform. Emery is working a miracle getting us to this position in the league and a cup, despite having one hand tied behind his back with a limited squad, especially in the final third. I dare say none of us enjoy almost every game being a chess match, but in the absence of us being able to spend at pace with other clubs, I can begrudgingly see why Emery focuses on shape and tactics.
He can't trust our attacking players to go all out to kill teams off. So that's where we find ourselves. We're overachieving with some limited players, but at the end of the day, we're competing above where we probably would be with any other manager.
Below par tonight, but going to a second leg at VP with a single-goal deficit might actually work to our favour and force us to go on the front foot. Who knows, but I do know that if you had offered fans the opportunity to be going into the last month of the season in a good position for the Champions League and a chance of a cup final, we'd almost all have taken it at the start of the season. It's never easy; it's the high-pressure stage of the season, but let's try and temper short-term frustration with long-term perspective. Bring on next week. Elliot to play a part? What a story that would be.

What a save ???? UTV.

Disappointed but, you have to give it Fulham, the energy and effort they put in was brilliant. They continually closed down the angles, but we helped them with our passing, some of it was that far off, giving our forwards no chance. Ollie and Rogers had hard luck with their chances, once again, can’t understand why Bailey got on, adds nothing at all.
Digna had a stinker going forward, every corner and cross was so way off, so much for his wand of a Left foot. Buendia not one of his best, he tries passes at times, that just arnt on, Pau also gave the ball away, his passing was off.
Back to being a Brentford supporter, let’s hope they can pull something off. UTV

You know the old saying about, careful what you wish for . With what’s happening at the moment, hope it doesn’t but this could really end badly. We all agree there’s things happening we’ve all got opinions on . Emery is no idiot, he knows things, ideas have got to change . He was right about the idol defending, three players just stood and watched, instead of defending the ball, for their goal . Personally I think some players have become a bit comfortable. Despite what Tom says, I think Mings should get the captaincy back, he’s by far our best defender and organiser . I love Ginny for his tenacity, but have to agree at times that’s just not enough. As I said when we get a full midfield complement back, I don’t think we will see him as much . With Ollie he’s always been a confidence player, so Emery has to sort out his supply chain . Ok if he’d scored that chance at the end, we wouldn’t have had all this, a win would have calmed everybody down .
03 May 2026 12:10:05
Whack, agree with that. Win today and a lot of pressure will be lifted. Then, Thursday they can go out and enjoy it. UTV.
01 May 2026 12:32:13
V Shrew. Anderson's tackle was bad, as Emery said. He could have broken Ollie's ankle. He got away with quite a lot throughout the game. I suppose we have to put it down to another VAR blunder. You can bet it's another one that they eventually come back and apologise for, to add to the others. UTV.

Elvis, my lad, was watching it, he reckons it's the best game he's ever seen, it had everything. UTV.
