Rumoured Villa are looking to sign Garnacho on loan.
Anyone got comments on this?
1.) 21 Jul 2026 20:14:32
Wouldn't touch him with a barge pool, rather have Grealish back with Rafeal Leao.
2.) 21 Jul 2026 20:24:10
Not for me. I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest. I had a great feeling about this window, but I'm starting to worry who we spend our money on.
3.) 21 Jul 2026 20:33:17
You dare to doubt Emery?
4.) 21 Jul 2026 20:42:43
Hold your horsies, fellas... Summerville was Roma's top target but off to Saudi for £68M, Garnacho wants to go to Roma & they were after him too, so that's 1 that could happen. You know what? The Grealish 1 isn't a bad idea, I'd say it would be his dream to play for Villa in the Champions League, and, bear in mind, he hasn't been coached by Unai.
Could be a masterstroke. ?
UTV.
5.) 21 Jul 2026 21:56:04
Fingers crossed for him to go to Roma. ? Not sure about Grealish, I think we need to look forward. Tammy didn't work in the slightest. Give me young and hungry with potential.
6.) 21 Jul 2026 22:28:56
I think we are going to have to accept the Garnacho deal, even though most of us on here would rather we looked elsewhere, but Unai must see something the rest of us don't. In terms of a forward, it looks like we favour Jackson, but are balking at the fee, which, if as quoted, is £60 million, then absolutely we should look elsewhere.
I quite liked the look of Balogun at the WC, and I'm sure he would be available at a lower price.
7.) 21 Jul 2026 23:20:31
He looked good. Didn't know much about him, so I had a Google. Arsenal sold him for 40 million, probably wouldn't come too cheap, I'm betting. Do you really see us buying another striker?
8.) 21 Jul 2026 23:52:55
I do. I'm not sure Emery sees Abraham giving him the same workrate as Watkins or having the same ability to hold onto the ball and bring others into play. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was sold during the window.
9.) 22 Jul 2026 06:43:08
I miss those days when a No9 just had to score goals. It seems to work with Citeh & Haaland, though. Maybe, with all these fresh legs in midfield, Tammy would thrive and be Jonny on the spot. Goals win games, don't they?
UTV.
10.) 22 Jul 2026 16:43:33
How about a free transfer from Monaco? He played 4 games for Senegal at the World Cup, and he's got 61 caps! He looks the type that Unai Emery loves. He's versatile on the right and can play right back, right midfield and right wing. He looks a right live wire, he will take on players and beat them, he's real quick and tenacious, a real team player and only 27.
After what I saw of him, he would be a perfect fit for us, cover for a couple of players but something different, but a good enough ball player. Think a vastly better Leon Bailey? Don't believe me, watch a couple of the Senegal matches WC26.
11.) 22 Jul 2026 23:04:29
Hey, Long Time Fan, which player do you mean?
12.) 24 Jul 2026 11:31:11
The brains going? It's Krepin Diatta. He was wanted by lots of top clubs when he was young! Four years at Monaco, great attitude and application, and is intelligent, with great skills. Probably be overlooked, but someone's going to get a very good player, cheap!!
Thanks for reminding me, Whackattack.
13.) 24 Jul 2026 11:41:09
One of Senegal's best players in the World Cup, playing right midfield, has played right back, and looks brilliant playing right wing. You heard it here first.
20 Aug 2025 14:59:12
It has been rumoured Matty Cash has handed in a transfer request.
Seems like Nottingham Forest may be after him.
1.) 20 Aug 2025 16:19:18
Also Linked with Douglas Luiz too. They must have plenty of CASH to splash!
2.) 20 Aug 2025 18:47:47
?????
3.) 20 Aug 2025 18:57:26
So… now that Forest are in Europe, does that mean the spending they’ve done so far (I know they’ve sold Elanga) plus what they’re looking to spend, does that mean they’re going to be hit by the UEFA spending rule which carries a fine which I guess would come into effect at the end of the season, with a suspended fine on top that would stop them spending next summer if they qualify for Europe again? The whole thing is a joke ??♂️
UTV
4.) 20 Aug 2025 21:25:36
Allstar, Forest have raked in over £100 million in sales so I think the net spend is something like £40 million to date which isn’t that great. Add in the money they will rake in from European football they should be ok however if they are in any trouble at the end of the season then selling Gibbs-White will no doubt resolve it
5.) 20 Aug 2025 22:10:41
Who else did they sell apart from Elanga which was about £60M?
UTV
6.) 21 Aug 2025 09:47:28
They have sold Danilo, Ruben Sosa, and Matt Turner for somewhere in the region of £40 million plus some other squad players for a few million, that plus the Elanga fee equates to something over £100 million.
7.) 21 Aug 2025 10:39:31
Cheers Mings ??
UTV
8.) 27 Aug 2025 12:03:18
Forest now targeting Geertruida for RB rather than splashing their Cash on Matty after all.!
05 Aug 2025 18:55:46
Rumour Villa have agreed to buy Evann Guessand from OGC Nice with a medical coming up on Wednesday.
1.) 05 Aug 2025 19:19:28
Just goes to show doesn’t it? Only linked with him today, medical tomorrow, pretty much everything that’s been rumoured is bs, wonder if we have any spare left to buy Jackson for £100M ?
UTV
2.) 05 Aug 2025 19:30:12
If it is true then this is typical Villa keeping it everything well hidden.
3.) 05 Aug 2025 22:17:01
More proof that these outlets printing articles and just pure speculation, glad to have a back up and he looks decent. what was the story with Redmond and how come we didn’t see in America?
4.) 05 Aug 2025 22:31:02
Big strong kid, can play anywhere across the front line UTV
13 May 2025 12:58:24
Sounds like Heck is being replaced with Francesco Calvo from Juventus. He has already resigned from them.
1.) 13 May 2025 21:31:48
Have you seen the trouble they are in, doesn’t fill you with confidence.UTV
2.) 13 May 2025 23:34:10
Trouble in what sense? They have a €69m shirt deal starting next year.
If you're talking about the footballing side, Heck had nothing to do with that and neither will his replacement.
03 Feb 2025 20:34:28
Axel Disasi On the way to Villa Park for a medical according to a number of sources.
1.) 03 Feb 2025 21:02:03
It’s gone from us being pessimistic to probably the best squad we’ve ever seen at Villa, if a fully fit squad ??♂️
UTV
2.) 03 Feb 2025 21:59:58
An exceptional squad if we have the best version of each player but that will remain to be seen. it’s looking better than it did on Friday so that’s a good start, a good defence coach the next thing we need to prioritise, what’s John Terry doing these days?
3.) 03 Feb 2025 22:38:53
We could do with jt bck whack
4.) 03 Feb 2025 22:44:17
Someone else’s Mrs Whackie ?
UTV
5.) 04 Feb 2025 00:49:23
I’d say Emery would let him have his missus if he could sort out our defence ??

Personally I have no regrets about being out of the Carabao cup.
We should have 2 main targets, these being the league first followed by the Europa league.
We just don't have a squad that can target all 4 competitions.
18 Aug 2025 14:45:52
Looks like Marco Asensio may be coming back to us! There again maybe not.
???
1.) 18 Aug 2025 16:06:56
Prefer Trossard if he's available
2.) 18 Aug 2025 17:11:44
He wasn't the same player from the start versus end of his loan period, so it's a no for me, agree regarding Trossard as a better bet.
3.) 18 Aug 2025 17:14:56
Losing Ramsey and Bailey and gaining Assensio and Trossard would make it a pretty decent window, you would have to say we are stronger than last year considering we seem to have a decent backup keeper now aswel, let’s hope EG hits the ground running also
4.) 18 Aug 2025 18:32:36
Agree Whack
5.) 18 Aug 2025 18:45:54
Now Ramsey and Bailey are gone and Dendoncker likely on the way too that gives us some space inthe squad and should save us circa £250k a week in terms of wages. Hopefully Assensio will be in soon and rather than Trossard I’d rather see Harvey Elliot he’s younger and can play anywhere across the midfield which gives us more flexibility.
6.) 19 Aug 2025 00:20:13
Id rather have Elliot and Trossard rather than Assensio. They are both far more mobile.
10 Sep 2024 15:01:45
Heck has announced all tickets have now been sold for the Bayern match.
1.) 10 Sep 2024 15:24:13
As I said in a earlier post CL came a season or 2 early for us to help build our financial standing hence ticket prices and so on but needs must if you want to carry on playing European football and compete on all fronts. We are not the top teams yet hence their ticket prices but if we cary on the way we are going I'm sure in 2 to 3 years we will reap the benefit believe in the owners who in my opinion are the best in the world!
2.) 10 Sep 2024 18:30:55
Anyone know why I couldn’t see these tickets on the app?
04 Sep 2024 06:55:44
Great article on Birmingham Live this morning about the difficulties of buying and selling players in the transfer window. Well worth the read.
1.) 04 Sep 2024 12:34:15
The report above was titled “Inside Villa’s transfer timebomb” for those interested.
31 Aug 2024 06:40:17
I think that many of you (including me) have missed the whole point and have forgot how much PSR has restricted our business in transfers.
It has been clear with all our dealings that we have had to sell players before we could buy them so we have been shackled throughout the transfer window.
I am absolutely sure NSWE would have loved to have put further money up front to det the players we wanted but just couldn't risk us getting points taken from us during this season.
We will continue to struggle until we boost our revenue stream which is what they are doing with their three year revenue plan.
UTV
1.) 31 Aug 2024 09:04:29
Hi Aka, you hit the nail on the head here with regards revenue to compete at the very top level of football you must have a sizeable revenue we are trying to do that via corporate areas of VP and off field advertising like they did in New York.
Unfortunately for us we are not in London nor are we a one city club so it is much harder for us to achieve our goals as you well know football has evolved over the last 10 years and in them 10 years we have been in the Championship we are still playing catch up with the teams that was PL stalwarts what we have achieved is nothing short of a miracle.
With regards transfers PSR and the UEFA, one has screwed us over big time but it is what it is I'm sure Emery and Co know what they are doing who are we not to trust the best thing that's happened to our club in our lifetime?
So let's sit back put our feet up and enjoy the best season we have seen down VP in recent memory.
23 Jan 2026 14:06:28
Not signed yet Phonix but by all accounts a done deal as it appears he has said his good byes and booked a flight home.
23 Sep 2025 13:28:54
VJ rumours I have seen is Unai is going nowhere.
23 Sep 2025 12:54:07
Rumours are Villa are in for Roberto Olabe from Real Sociedad
20 Sep 2025 17:54:06
Where are your rumours from Djb?
19 Sep 2025 07:13:26
????
20 Jul 2026 18:46:28
Rest in peace Kevin.
28 Feb 2026 14:40:47
. ??????
28 Feb 2026 13:17:05
Agree with you, BK. I have supported AV since I was 8/9 and I have turned 76 today, and Emery is one of the best, if not the best, managers we have ever had, and I still trust him to recover this for us.
28 Feb 2026 13:04:13
How do you know Emery can't see it? Maybe he does see it, but it comes down to what players he has available to him, which at the moment is, to say the least, depleted by injuries.
27 Jan 2026 14:52:25
Verbal agreement reached for Luiz I believe Whack
