VillaMole has suggested on Twitter that the Rashica deal is more or less sorted. £18M + £5M add ons over 5 years.
Also added Traore deal is concluded.

Hope that’s right AJ. Traore it’s just waiting on his work permit, but Rashica I’m fearful Wolves might move if Jota goes to Liverpool. Obviously we’re the far bigger club, but they’ve had a great couple of years and that might swing it.

Possibly, with the reporting lags, Fabio Silva was being secured before Jota could be released and Liverpool’s actual interest runs back over a number of weeks.
Silva did appear to be a big signing, coming a little bit out of the blue. I had thought money was tight at Wolves, particularly with Doherty going so cheaply.
Rashica’s signing is reported to be at the point where it is solely down to sorting out the add ons and when they will be paid.

badger boi that is exactly what I believe with Smith playing Watkins as he did for his 1st season in the Championship. Once up to speed he could them move him back inside when he gets used to different pace of the game.

If Watkins and Wilson come in, as seems likely now, I think Smith could well see Watkins playing in the Josh King role. There could some merit in this, insofar, as it takes some pressure off the younger guy from playing as the target man, particularly whilst he finds his feet in the EPL. It might be a partial departure from Smith’s favoured lone striker with Watkins playing out wider, but also coming in more to support.
Maybe Smith has it in mind to deploy Watkins down his slightly favoured left and move Grealish ahead of McGinn and Luiz or out right.
Alternatively, keep Jack down the left and play Watkins on the other side and use wingers off the bench to mix things up - would that support the Eliasson option, where less money might be devoted to a new winger? All conjecture, I know.
P. S. Is Swift still in the frame? It has gone a bit quiet on that front.

AJ I see a bit of a tactician in you there. There may be a coaching role available for you some time soon.
I wouldn't mind Swift tbh just don't know if we could offer him a starting role but if we can offload some of the other squad players you never know.
