Champions league is still very much in our own hands. 2 disappointing home results should not take away from where we are at the moment, realistically 7 wins from 14 games with a couple of draws should be enough. We are getting one or 2 injured players back now with others in a few more weeks.

Still fighting on 3 fronts so plenty to be excited about and a win Saturday puts us firmly in control over Liverpool who Have a tricky game against city and could find themselves 10 points behind at ko.

I'm still not convinced Chelsea will overtake us and I'm expecting them to start dropping points again after the new manager bounce
Let's take some positivity into the tail end of the season as still plenty to play for . UTV

If EMI is to go and if fee of £40m is to be believed then I would take it and sign Trafford from city. Good young keeper maybe a risk now but will be excellent keeper in future

No chance of 40 million we won’t even get 20 he’s 33, personally I don’t think he’s worth selling, we won’t get anywhere near his quality for the money we get for him

2.) 26 Jan 2026 23:29:38
We don’t need a keeper ‘for the future’ we need one that will equal Emi’s current performances so we continue to compete for the league and inEurope ?

3.) 27 Jan 2026 06:59:58
I like Trafford, but if Emi was to go (in the summer) I’d go with Henderson of Palace, but they’re saying the Porto/Portugal keeper is the 1 that Emery wants

Not sure how true but rumours are we are interested in Schade from Brentford now he would be an upgrade on Malen from what I've seen of him but depends on price I imagine, Tammy would be the cheaper option

Apparently Brentford don’t want to sell and if they did the price would be north of £50 million and we habitat that type of money at the moment. It’s just click bait I’m afraid.

We were poor today, but had chances to have won. We’ve made it more difficult now because we can’t risk resting a lot of players against Liverpool, but I think we will beat them. I just hope we get through the game without injuries.
Don’t forget that Bournemouth have to win both their games.

That was unbelievable and proves that this team can win this competition. An Emery masterclass to shut up the doubters.
Beat Burnley on Sunday to confirm Champions League and we can concentrate on that final.

I am really worried about Thursday seeing how we are playing and how Forest are, you can only see one winner.
The only shred of comfort I can come up with is we are much better as the underdog with the pressure off us; take our displays against City, Arsenal, Bayern and the PSG 2nd leg when we went 5-1 down on aggregate and very nearly went through.

Let’s hope Sunday gave them the kick up the backside they all needed, and they really owe us a special performance under the lights on Thursday.

In Unai I trust #Believe.

2.) 06 May 2026 02:56:57
Trust that we will never win anything with him in charge, and trust him to play boring, anti football again and get beat by Forest and Burnley. u watch. Hope I'm wrong, but u can see it going to happen. Players have no confidence.

Disappointed with last night but it’s not over yet. I’m surprised no one on here has mentioned the Anderson tackle on Ollie. Emery summed it up perfectly. I loved his VAR reference. That decision could have changed game but it is what it is.

My understanding is if we finish 4th and win the cup then there is an extra CL place but if we finish 5th there isn’t, I want 5th place to stop Chelsea getting CL that would be brilliant.

V Shrew. Anderson's tackle was bad, as Emery said. He could have broken Ollie's ankle. He got away with quite a lot throughout the game. I suppose we have to put it down to another VAR blunder. You can bet it's another one that they eventually come back and apologise for, to add to the others. UTV.

I don’t get all the negativity around Dougie considering he didn’t get any game time at Forest. I think his performances have improved massively since he joined us. I thought he is certainly no worse than some of the other players on pitch, but he’s consistently being called out as being poor by some on here.

He is not at the standard as when he left us, but I think he is improving with each game and when other midfielders are fit it’s likely he will be a back up anyway.

VillaShew

1.) 21 Mar 2026 12:26:36
Well, if he's meant to be a holding midfielder, he's very poor, because he can't tackle to save his life, and if he's meant to be a creative spark, he's poor because he couldn't see a line-breaking pass if they were on special offer at Tesco.

Backwards is the only way he can pass successfully, and that puts the onus on our center backs to try to create an opening. Onana isn't great at completing forward passes either, but at least he puts in a shift defensively.

Don't fancy Jackson tbh, although I'd heard we were having 2nd thoughts due to issues with his temperament.

VJ, you change your mind more times than Spurs change managers. A couple of weeks ago you were saying how good Emery was. Make your mind up, mate. I'm an Emery fan, but can see how he gets things wrong at times; he sees the bigger picture, I don't, so I'll judge him at end of season.

Can't wait to see some humble pie being eaten on here if we beat Forest. VTID

Not sure I agree, VJ. We saw what happened with only a couple of our big hitters out. We need to beat Spurs to get some confidence back.

Did you watch Newcastle play Barcelona midweek, VJ? No way would they turn us over like that.

Spot on Syston couldn’t agree more. What I find so frustrating is that we are so close to doing something special and this biased system is preventing us forcing our way into the top tier, it makes me so angry
