According to BirminghamLive, Aston Villa is rumoured to sign Napoli duo José Callejón and Fernando Llorente.

They could solve Villa's goalscoring problem.

As villa have bid excepted for ac milan striker Medical this week . I've just recieved this information from villapark.

2.) 14 Jan 2020 13:54:05
If any of you watch Italian football you'll know callejon is skilled, but moody and apparently is unable to maintain his balance when hit with a feather.

According to insidefutbol. com, Krzysztof Piatek has given his approval to a potential move to Premier League, boosting Aston Villa's and Newcastle's hopes of signing him. It is rumoured that Villa have already tabled a €30 million bid to sign him.

What do you think, guys?

1.) 08 Jan 2020 21:32:25
Mate, if its true brilliant, but we have been reading over the past 24 hrs that its false its true, nobody seems to know.
I am going to sit on it and wait till something concrete happens. 🤞🏻.

2.) 09 Jan 2020 08:53:40
Let's try to get him on loan at least. I hope it happens. :)

Aston Villa is reportedly interested in signing Genk's goalgetter Mbwana Samatta from Tanzania. Any thoughts about this, lads?

Hnchmchl85

1.) 06 Jun 2019 14:15:07
Will this be a replacement for Tammy?
Or does it mean Villa don’t want to pay the big bucks for
Neal Maupay?

2.) 06 Jun 2019 16:21:27
Well, since Abraham is likely to stay at Chelsea, then I think that Samatta would be a better option. Abraham was good for us in the Championship, but I believe that he wants to play for Chelsea instead. So, maybe Samatta would be good for Villa. I would sign him, if I were the manager of Villa, and then maybe sign Maupay.

25 Jul 2018 12:07:12
The former Belgium assistant coach, Thierry Henry agrees to become the new Aston Villa manager, if he has the full backing of the board. Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris will have a meeting with Steve Bruce, as they are unconvinced in his capabilities to guide Villa back to the Premier League.

Lads, I have exciting news! According to what I've read, Villa are looking to sign central defender Lamine Koné from Sunderland and defender Dan Burn from Wigan. Villa are also looking to sign midfielder Mason Mount on loan from Chelsea.

Aston Villa will be relegated. Again. Dean Smith isn't the right man for the job. It's over. I won't watch anymore.

Hnchmchl85

1.) 09 Mar 2020 21:52:49
On the basis Smith won't be here next year get rid tonight, I didn't think we can be any worse than Watford etc, I witnessed a division one performance, just let them try to get us to buy early bird season tickets they will get a real shock.

2.) 09 Mar 2020 21:53:12
Not even 50% effort displayed tonight I couldn’t see a team fighting for survival I saw a team devoid of direction I cannot see what they do on a training field this has to be down to poor coaching clueless at defending or retaining possession! Most experienced playing on pitch costs us first goal and downhill from there Gilbert should donate his wages as he looked like he wanted to be anywhere other than on that pitch! We are down no 2 ways about it.

3.) 09 Mar 2020 21:57:07
Agreed - Get rid of Smith now, start planning for next year.

4.) 09 Mar 2020 22:03:27
It is so painful to watch. Every time the ball comes into the box from a cross, you think we are going to concede. What are they coaching these players? The midfield three tonight were absolutely woeful. I feel that Smith has to go now. Unfortunately, we are doomed with or without him but he clearly is not up to the task. Name one player he purchased in the summer who has actually improved the side? The claims that we “ won’t do a Fulham” are looking completely misplaced.

5.) 09 Mar 2020 22:18:32
Connor is poor
El Mohammed is league 1 player at best
Luiz is poor
Why didn’t jack play? Anyone know?
Mings thinks he is van dik
Problem with our team is pace we sit back really deep then when we do get it up top it takes our players to long to join the attack!

6.) 09 Mar 2020 22:33:39
Yes, that's what I wanted to hear. Now let's try our best to get a good manager for once.
The best ones I can think of who are unemployed are either Pochettino or Emery. Although, I have a sense that Emery might say no.
Any suggestions on who to appoint, guys?

7.) 09 Mar 2020 22:36:59
Jack is quite clearly carrying a injury.

8.) 10 Mar 2020 08:24:58
Who is? Nobody will ever reach our expectations. If we did a Wolves we would want Champions League the next season.
We had Houllier and he wasn't good enough. We wanted Lambert until results went against us.

We just don't have the income to match our expectations. If we hiked the ticket prices everyone would complain the board were money grabbers.
Before mentioning Sheff Utd, yes they are doing well but I wouldn't be surprised if they were the next Hull or Reading who got the shock of being an unknown quantity.

9.) 10 Mar 2020 08:25:57
Yes Deano must go but who will come in to VP?
Its a poison chalice so only the very brave will put their head on the bloc.
Is JT keeping his powder dry waiting for the axe to fall so that he is directly inline?
Pochetino, yes please.

Almost anyone would do better than what we have.
Players have to take blame. None of them were visible for any of the 93 minutes.

12 Jan 2020 11:16:25
My formation against today's opponent is 4-5-1: Kalinić, Guilbert, Hause, Mings (captain), Taylor, Nakamba, El Ghazi, Hourihane, Luiz, Trezeguet and Kodjia.
My prediction is Aston Villa-Manchester City: 2-2.

Hnchmchl85

1.) 12 Jan 2020 11:29:43
85 apart from the correct teams don't think you have anything right in your post.

2.) 12 Jan 2020 11:41:39
Well, this is actually the formation and tactics I would've chosen for this particular match, and if Smith chooses the same 4-3-3 formation, then Villa's probably going to lose again. I prefer a win as always, but I can live with a tie. Come on, the Villa! UTV.

3.) 12 Jan 2020 12:16:21
Why no Drinkwater then, and Taylor should be nowhere near the bloody first team.
The bloke stops any forward movement in its tracks.

4.) 12 Jan 2020 12:57:30
Dave you happy with no Jack like 85? Kodja not fit and Nyland has done nothing wrong.

5.) 12 Jan 2020 13:17:00
Bloody hell mate, never noticed, definitely not.
Its my age Scotty, derrr.

6.) 12 Jan 2020 14:57:06
3-4-3 should be the formation we have looked a lot better using this, house Mings konsa, Gilbert Targett luiz Drinkwater, captain jack el gazi and trez.

7.) 12 Jan 2020 15:42:53
Starting el Mohammed can’t believe it how is he going to drop guilbert it’s a joke how he is even a footballer is beyond me, we are basically playing the champions of England with 9 men today with el Mohammed and Taylor.

8.) 12 Jan 2020 17:18:09
2-2 😱 4-0 down at half time.

21 Aug 2019 15:53:28
My tactics for Aston Villa against Everton would be a 4-5-1 formation:
Heaton (GK), Guilbert (DR), Engels (DC), Mings (DC), Targett (DL), Grealish (AMR), McGinn (MCR), Nakamba (DMC), Hourihane (MCL), El Ghazi (AML), Wesley (FW) .

I would choose from these substitute players: Kalinić, Elmohamady, Chester, Hause, Trézéguet, Jota and Kodjia.

Either way, my prediction is: 2-0 to Aston Villa!

Hnchmchl85

1.) 21 Aug 2019 16:17:20
I can`t see why you would leave Trez out, I feel its only a matter of time before he hits the net.
Douglas Luiz not even on the bench?

2.) 21 Aug 2019 16:43:49
Where does Luiz fit in mate, should be the fist name down on the team sheet.

3.) 21 Aug 2019 17:37:09
Can’t see that one, no Luiz, if you had said Luiz and Marvellous then perhaps .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

4.) 21 Aug 2019 21:40:15
I think that Luiz should rest for now, and that other players should get the chance. The formations should have been entirely different the first two matches. For me, it would've been better with an 4-4-2 attacking formation against Bournemouth and I would've prefered the 4-5-1 formation against Tottenham. I'm sure we would've been better off than we are now.

5.) 21 Aug 2019 22:38:11
Rest, he has only played a game and a bit 9 mins.

6.) 22 Aug 2019 13:40:24
4-2-3-1 for me

Heaton
Guilbert
Engels
Mings
Targett
Nakamba
Luiz
Grealish
Mcginn
Trezeguet
Wesley

Done . 👍.

7.) 22 Aug 2019 14:57:36
Kenn looks good to me however having just lost our opening games and no points on the board I believe Deano will play safe (read in to that no attacking fullbacks) so Elmo and Taylor are almost certain to play. To be fair Elmo probably deserves to be in, Taylor should never have started the season in the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hourihane in the stating 11, ( would not be my choice I hasten to add) but I think it will be Heaton Elmo Engels Ming's Taylor Hourihane Jack McGinn Luiz Trez Wes.

8.) 22 Aug 2019 17:46:23
Villa_Kenn, spot on with that team, 100% our best starting 11 👍🏻

UTV.

9.) 22 Aug 2019 20:41:31
Yeah maybe caffu, however I think if we go with Taylor and Elmo we will be hammered .

Everton set up 4-2-3-1 also . With a forward three of richalison, Bernard and sigurdson.

Taylor vs Richalison 😱

Elmo vs Bernard 🥺

Guilbert made something like the third highest talked in Europe last season .

Also I think we need Nakamba and Luiz to nulify the threat of Gomez and sigurdson.

I can also see Everton giving debuts to Kean from Juventus and Iwobi from Arsenal . That makes it an even tougher proposition.

We should be starting with the best 11 players on the pitch there is no better time than in the first 5 games as it gives them time to gel .

Only my opinion but shoot me for it 🤪.

10.) 22 Aug 2019 23:43:17
Kenn if you get chance watch Deanos press conference, he has gone on record as saying players not playing have to earn the earn the shirt and prove they are better than the players they expect to replace. This is code for Targett and Guilbert aren't good enough. The worrying thing for me is that a £15 mill left back can't displace a weak short arce. Marvelous is not the player he thought he was getting and Guilbert can't defend. So all the optimistic guys on here expecting changes are going to be disappointed tomorrow. Deano I am sure you know what you are doing and on this basis suggests you have not bought as wisely as we all first thought otherwise the teams most fans would select would be in tomorrow.

11.) 23 Aug 2019 07:42:34
Caffu I have indeed seen the press conference .

And yes every player has to earn the right to take the shirt! So I do agree with Deano in that sense

Quiet how you have came to the conclusion this means they are 💩players I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

he said they have to take the shirt and they are getting used to the speed of the game, the physicality and also how we as a team play .

Answer this . these are Dean Smiths signings, therefore I can’t see him spending money for no reason? Also this far Taylor and Elmo haven’t done too much wrong,

i just think Guilbert and Targett are better having seen both of them in preseason.

Guilbert can’t defend, but was in the top 5 for completed tackles in the whole of Europe . However Guilbert may not be getting a game due to the relationship on the pitch between Elmo and Trez who play in the same national team and know how each other plays .

Also where has he said Nakamba is not the player he thought he was getting! Jesus he hasn’t played a game, hasn’t had a pre season yet is being written off 😂

As for being optimistic . I’m a glass half full kind of guy . Pity the some of the other Villa fans on here aren’t! personally questioning a team with 13new players after 2 losses in the toughest league In the world is nothing short of a disgrace.

By the way, I support loserpoop, of course. What do you think? You must know what irony is, right? Villa aren't playing to their full potential, and you know it. It's been like that for the last 24 years.

Well, Terry won't be the answer either. If Villa wins something again in let's say 48 years of time, it wouldn't surprise me at all. That's the state we are in.

Villa haven't played well in 24 years. Don't delude yourself, Villajohn. Just face it. It's Championship next season. No manager in the world would want to have the responsibility of the club. Wonder why? Maybe because it's the most overrated club in the Premiership, and therefore the most difficult club to manage. I for one see that now. I know another thing. Sam Allardyce isn't the answer to the problems nor is Neil Warnock. Aston Villa is doomed!

Hnchmchl85

{Ed002's Note - John Terry expects to take over until the end of the season.}

I've actually found two German managers who are currently unemployed, Roger Schmidt and Ralf Rangnick. I'm not going to say that they will say yes, but I think Villa should have a go at them. They have a 55 and a 47 percent win ratio respectively.

Hnchmchl85

{Ed002's Note - Ralf Rangnick has a job to go to in the summer already. Neither will be joining Aston Villa.}
