Now the dust has settled it's time to be grateful for a point. A couple of observations, whoever doesn't thinks Mings earns his place in the centre of defence doesn't watch the same game as Most of us. I may be in a minority but I think Rogers isn't as good as he thinks he is, he gives the ball away far to often to be a guaranteed starter ever week, he needs to sharpen his Game, great cross from Cash, however he just can't defend hopefully his replacement is round the corner.

Ramsey is just not good enough so hopefully he will moved on with enough transfer money to buy an upgrade. Martinez needs to work with a goalkeeping coach, he is making silly mistakes and seems far too complacent. So if we want to finish in the top five we need to improve, hopefully new recruits will help with an improvement. I get the feeling Ollie is gradually getting his mojo back and will take more of the opportunities he is regularly getting. Tuesday could well set us on our way to avoiding the play offs and we are good enough to beat Monaco.

Dave people don’t give him credit, for the terrible injury he had plus the 12 months out . Since coming back, through injury he’s been thrown in and had a handful of games to get himself back in to it . UTV

I’m not Ramsey’s no.1 fan but the injuries he’s had and the time out of the game I think he deserves a chance. He doesn’t get in my starting XI when everyone’s fit but you can see glimpses of what he’s capable of during games.
I do think he’s the sort of player who needs more game time but it’s going to be difficult especially with Roger’s playing so well.

I know I have banged on about Patrick Schick on here before but if Duran goes we should definitely be going for someone of this ilk 69 goals in 145 appearances for Leverkusen and 12 goals in his last 6 games, his conversion rate is better than Watkins, and the fee for Duran would I think be enough to land Schick.

The striker situation is complicated, as it stands we don’t need another one, if Duran is sold it’s not going to be cheap to buy a current premier league striker, Schick is good but he’s going to be expensive and I doubt they will want to sell him, if they did agree I’d say we’d be looking at 60 million or more so that defeats the purpose of selling Duran, I think we would most likely take a chance on another 1 or 2 players like Duran and hope 1 of them turns out just as good, whatever happens with Duran the most important thing is to spend the money wisely and not waste 30 million on a deal like Danny Ings.

I think Leverkusen could be tempted to sell, there business model tends to involve them selling a player at the end of each season plus they already have a ready made replacement in Victor Boniface who is already an established Bundesliga forward plus the clubs have an established relationship having done business over Diaby and Bailey.

So according to Romano we are in concrete talks with Seville for Logic Bade, he won't be cheap, but if you couple that with the news we have turned down the offer from turkey for Carlos and there are other clubs interested in him, I wonder could it be a double deal with Carlos going back to them?

I think the Bade story has legs to be honest, I don’t believe we are only 12 million inside our safety margin for psr, defence is our biggest problem so if money was that tight I reckon we would of recalled illing jr for the wing and spend our money on defence, I think Emery is just being clever saying what he said today about Malen cause we don’t want our pants pulled down in negotiations for other players.
It’s hard to see Duran getting sold in this window unless we get 100 million which will set us up for the next 3 years so it won’t be the end of the world if it does happen, it wouldn’t surprise me if we sign 2 more first team players, our defence is awful and Emery and the board have to know it aswel they ain’t blind, I’ll be gonsmacked if we don’t sign some quality options for defence.
