I could live with that, was thinking 🤔 if Bizot starts tonight it might look like it could happen, be interesting to see if Rogers starts tonight too…

With the Europa on Thursdays and Sky fixture changes looks like we are going to play an awful lot of Sunday games, unfortunately I'm old school and have always loved my Saturday afternoon football, of course we have to adapt to change, however I have other interests that I enjoy on Sunday, so I'm really disappointed with too many Sunday games.
21 Aug 2025 00:08:08
There are other non European playing teams that play mostly on a Saturday Scot if your intrested just a thought👍👍

It has been rumoured Matty Cash has handed in a transfer request.
Seems like Nottingham Forest may be after him.
20 Aug 2025 16:19:18
Also Linked with Douglas Luiz too. They must have plenty of CASH to splash!
20 Aug 2025 18:47:47
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
20 Aug 2025 18:57:26
So… now that Forest are in Europe, does that mean the spending they’ve done so far (I know they’ve sold Elanga) plus what they’re looking to spend, does that mean they’re going to be hit by the UEFA spending rule which carries a fine which I guess would come into effect at the end of the season, with a suspended fine on top that would stop them spending next summer if they qualify for Europe again? The whole thing is a joke 🤷🏼♂️

Allstar, Forest have raked in over £100 million in sales so I think the net spend is something like £40 million to date which isn’t that great. Add in the money they will rake in from European football they should be ok however if they are in any trouble at the end of the season then selling Gibbs-White will no doubt resolve it
20 Aug 2025 22:10:41
Who else did they sell apart from Elanga which was about £60M?
UTV
21 Aug 2025 09:47:28
They have sold Danilo, Ruben Sosa, and Matt Turner for somewhere in the region of £40 million plus some other squad players for a few million, that plus the Elanga fee equates to something over £100 million.

Forest now targeting Geertruida for RB rather than splashing their Cash on Matty after all.!

Everyone knows someone's neighbour, aunt, brother cousin who can tell you about the inner workings of players details usually these are rubbish. I have just been told from what I know is a reliable source, that Ramsey's family are not happy with the way Jacob has been treated. They are saying that he has been given little choice in remaining at the Villa. Villa seemed to have been clever by offering him a new contract, his wages were in the mid range at £70,000, the increase offered would have left him still well below most of the top earners. I am speculating that he may have been told that he wouldn't be a regular starter and it all seems to add up that his future wasn't at Villa and obviously the transfer fee helps with our PSR. I can not know if what I was told is totally genuine, however it all adds up to the final outcome that he's going and I'm sure he's not happy. I personally wish Jacob all the best and hope his carer flourishes in the future as long it doesn't come back to bite us, I'm sure he has the right to gloat if it does.

I hear what your saying Scot but it’s a 2 sided coin, if he hadn’t had those injuries and had 2 storming seasons instead and city or Liverpool etc came calling I wonder would he still want to stay at villa or would he do exactly what Delph or grealish done?
I wish him nothing but the best but no matter who he is or how long he’s being here he’s not more important than sustaining the upward trajectory we find ourselves in the past few years.
15 Aug 2025 08:31:14
If we're honest, is he anywhere near a £100k+ a week player?
His camp can feel hard done by all they like but he hasn't earned more than offered.
He hasn't been fit for 2 years and by his own admission he hasn't made progress so why does he deserve to be paid more.
He is not a top player like Ollie or Emi and his work off the pitch doesn't hold a candle to Digne or SJM.
To be honest, I won't miss him like a Milner or a Grealish. He's not special and just comes across pretty poorly in a lot of clips I've seen.
15 Aug 2025 18:35:43
I wish Ramsey all the best also but for me when he was on the coach when we was all welcoming Villa to VP when he said "Bloody hell it's only the Conference" Put a bit of a cloud over him for me.
15 Aug 2025 18:49:09
Daz you are 100% I was only thinking the same thing yesterday, it was a huge day for us and for a villa boy he was very blasé about it, yes it was only the conference league but it was a stepping stone and also an emotional day for most villa fans who went through the heartache of relegation. not saying he’s a bad lad but most of these football players are motivated by money and not glory like the old days
15 Aug 2025 19:43:35
Whack, is he a Villa boy? Not that it matters.
The physio will be a lot less busy with Ramsey and Bailey going (if he does) . Not their fault but some players are held back by injuries.
13 Aug 2025 11:50:05
It seems that Ramsey is definitely on his way then. Somewhere between £30-40m.
If it's closer to £40m I say it's a good deal for us, especially as he has had some injury issues.
Not so sure that I want us to spend this money on Asensio though, as being reported on some sites.
13 Aug 2025 18:33:21
I think Asensio would be great, provides flexibility across the front positions and 8 goal contributions from 21 games isn’t too shabby either. I think Emery is fairly confident that this deal is going to happen as despite some offers from Turkey and Italy Asensio hasn’t signed which suggests to me that once we have completed a sale he will move to us all assuming we can match his wage expectations.
14 Aug 2025 21:19:01
They’re saying £43M inc add ons for Ramsey, keeps getting better don’t it? I’ve just got this feeling something is in the pipeline that no one is going to see coming, that’s going to blow us away 🤔

Another website are saying that Ramsey's preferred destination, if he were to leave, is Newcastle. If a new contract cannot be mutually agreed.
Mixed feelings about him tbh.
12 Aug 2025 16:18:51
If we get £40M for him and get someone like Dibbling or Guler I’d be happy

It’s amazing what you hear during the transfer window in terms of who we are looking at whose coming/going etc. I’ve been told that despite everything heard to the contrary Asensio will be a Villa player come the 1st of September but I think I’m going to take a leaf out of Whack’s book and I’ll believe it when/if it happens
09 Aug 2025 01:02:23
Assensio doesn’t make sense to me but I wouldn’t be overly surprised if it happened, we don’t see what Emery sees. who would you rather have back between Assensio luiz or grealish?
09 Aug 2025 07:04:49
I like all 3 as players but we have enough cover in terms of defensive midfield positions in my view so I don’t think Luiz would be a priority, and it’s a toss up between Grealish and Asensio but I would slightly favour the latter as I think he is more clinical in front of goal.

Jack for me 100% ~ bring him back!
