Ideal transfer window St maximin buendia henry as back up for tiggers and sarr to battle bertie and maybe axel back 💪🏾.

Naturalvillan

1.) 31 May 2021 13:41:21
Pretty impressive but out of reach I think, I’d settle for any 2 of - sarr, buendia, st maxim, pereira, lingard, willock. if we got 2 of them I’d be happy to promote some young guys to the bench, from what I see in brad young I think it’s time to give him minutes.

2.) 31 May 2021 16:04:36
Signing Buendia somehow feels quite likely at this stage - if you can take anything out of press reports. Should that happen, it could well rule out Perreira, given his similar RW/ AM role. Would it also rule out another big fee (£30M plus) for McNeil?

I am just not sure how much budget is really there and can’t help but recall the inference from both Purslow and Smith that our deals will be precise and carefully managed. Does that translate into pursuing very good value or have pathways already been cleared?

Could Mr Milot be back in the running, now his price has fallen?

A Gazzaniga deal wouldn’t surprise me, only because the player is on a free, shares much in common with big Emi and Smith doesn’t really seem to fancy Steer as no. 2 goalie out of choice. If that does happen, perhaps Steer should be offered a loan, as suggested in the press, with Sinasalo given a chance as the no. 3.

3.) 31 May 2021 22:42:17
I think the gazzinga thing could very well happen and it would help emi in my opinion having another Argentinian there, as long as they got on well, would probably maybe help lure buendia also if we were serious about getting him in. haven’t being blown away by mc Neil tbh I think we can do better for that money.

Something somewhere about rashica again 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Naturalvillan

1.) 04 Oct 2020 16:57:45
Do we think it’s something to with the fact these reports are coming from sky, and sky own a gambling site which offers odds on this? 🤔.

{Ed002's Note - Sky don’t own a gambling site.}

2.) 04 Oct 2020 17:10:38
Says Leeds and Southampton are trying to get him too aparantly. Personally I can't wait for the European transfer deadline to pass so we can move on from the rashica talk. If we manage to shift a couple of players on we should move for benrahma imo understanding with Watkins would be ideal.

3.) 04 Oct 2020 17:36:53
Sky bet Ed?

{Ed001's Note - they sold it, I think they have a 10% stake now.}

4.) 04 Oct 2020 17:34:49
Eds do you know of any concrete offers for rashica today.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer that but several sides including Aston Villa are keen - it may come down to the players choice.}

5.) 04 Oct 2020 17:47:47
Apparently we’re in advanced talks now

Deal imminent.

6.) 04 Oct 2020 18:03:45
Ahhh cheers Ed.

7.) 04 Oct 2020 18:07:26
If we see him on TV tonight at the game, then I’ll believe it, exciting stuff though

UTV.

8.) 04 Oct 2020 20:17:48
Cheers eds.

9.) 05 Oct 2020 17:24:55
Saints have gone for Walcott. I know he plays down the right, not the left, but I can't imagine them signing both, especially with Redman also at the club.

My 5p is on Rashica not coming to B6. TBH I am sick of the story and think he has shown minimal commitment to the move.

I have always felt our budget was likely to be around £75-80M, rather than the £100M quoted in the Sun. No insight, purely a feel in my water, which is more reliable than the press most of the time.

10.) 05 Oct 2020 17:59:47
Rashica to Bayer Leverkusen seems to be the latest snippet.

24 Aug 2020 17:34:34
My god if i see another story about villa being in “pole position” to sign Ollie Watkins i'm gona flog my iphone and move out in the sticks with no wifi and without a shop for miles. I can't stand the amount of reporting the same old stuff time and again. 😳🤯.

Naturalvillan

1.) 24 Aug 2020 18:15:00
Well said NV, its also getting right up my goat.

2.) 24 Aug 2020 19:50:35
With Frank Lampard and Chelsea seemingly interested in signing every man and his dog and performing open heart surgery on his team (could it be classed as "doing a Fulham "? 🤔😁) would it be possible for Mr Terry to use his connections and persuade a few of their cast offs to join? After all these misfits did finish 4th and got to a cup final and would make him feel more at home lol.
There could be a couple of good players up for grabs and could represent an upgrade in quality and maybe provide the marquee signing that could convince others to join the Villa revolution.
Just a thought as I'm bored with the relentless speculation circulating 👍.

3.) 24 Aug 2020 21:11:55
Hudson-Odoi would be a dream on loan. We wouldn’t be fronting the full 130k wages, we’d be getting a quality player who needs game time.

Not a huge fan of the loan market, leaves you with egg on your face, we’ve seen it far too many times, Snodgrass, Tammy. You end up relying on a player then having to replace them, with every team knowing you need to replace them.

But this loan I’d be all for, really think he’s a star in the making, with game time could be a generational talent.

4.) 25 Aug 2020 06:46:08
That’s a good shout Chris, especially if we fail to purchase the likes of Benrahma or Rashica for the left wing position.

5.) 25 Aug 2020 09:03:33
I know it’s just a pipe dream mate, but even I sometimes get carried away😂.

6.) 25 Aug 2020 17:41:35
Haven't we learned from our loan deals before?

7.) 25 Aug 2020 17:59:21
All be patient, things are going on behind the scenes targets identified negotiations ongoing deals being made these things take time.
My sources are telling me two things and that is Watkins is a done deal in relation to personal terms being agreed it’s the fee with Brentford that I say under negotiation my sources say Villa are looking to pay between £16 and £18M with add ons taking it to £23.5M.
The other player we are in for the fee is agreed it’s now down to Villa convincing the player and his agent this is the right move and the club is aiming for champions league football.
As soon as my sources in VP update me you boys will be the first to know.
There is only one king.

8.) 25 Aug 2020 22:15:59
More nonsense then 🤣.

21 Nov 2015 17:18:30
Are ther any rumours or anyone know what's happened to adama traore? Last i heard he was back in training then this thing about his wages and he hasn't been seen since. Is he no better than the rubbish we are using he looked a real player before picking up a knock surely he's worth a punt even if it means 75k a week or whatever?

Naturalvillan

1.) 21 Nov 2015 17:26:23
personally i would have word and redo his contract meet half way and say this way your getting to play.

2.) 21 Nov 2015 17:29:13
I would be surprised (pleasantly) if we ever saw him play for us again. Far too many excuses regarding his fitness, wages etc. My opinion? He'll go in January.

In reply to TOV down the page my pal knows the guy who cuts ollys and cashys hair and he says they said that they liked gerard but when saturday came they had no clear instruction or way of playing and nobody knew what job they were tasked with so i think with unais direction and attention to detail a lot of the players simply play better our squad is decent but it helps when you have a world class dmf in boubacar its a shame he didn't go to the world cup as i think we wouldve had a different world cup winner in the ranks the guy is insanely good and can only get better utv

Naturalvillan

1.) 25 Jan 2023 19:29:25
I think Emery will have some specific targets, probably some who the general public are not aware of and who Villa are working on closing in January.

Guendouzi is the obvious one, I think we'll get him but if we don't Emery won't accept a poor substitute. If we don't get our primary targets we'll wait until the summer to get them unless we are told in no uncertain terms they have no intention of joining Villa. I'm ok with this personally.

05 Nov 2022 16:47:30
Im interested to know thoughts on the new badge situation personally i think both make our current one look poor and although my heart says the good old round style i think the future is in the gas lamp design what are we saying?

Naturalvillan

1.) 05 Nov 2022 19:06:06
Agree both are an improvement but my vote went for the gas lamp version.every time I looked at the other badge it reminded me of the Cheslea badge for some reason.the gas lamp is much more distinctive.all down to personal preference though I guess.
Would've been nice to have the date on both versions though. But overall the design team have done a good job I think.

2.) 05 Nov 2022 19:46:04
Round badge looks classier. Other one looks more like a 6th form design tech project than 'gas lamp' to me.

3.) 05 Nov 2022 22:59:23
i like round 1 aswell its old school

4.) 05 Nov 2022 23:12:53
The round badge will win hands down, I don't think either are particularly innovative but the round badge will get 85%+ of the votes I'm sure.

5.) 06 Nov 2022 10:54:08
Round one for me

6.) 06 Nov 2022 12:15:17
I prefer the round one

29 Oct 2022 17:18:20

Noone wants to be our manager ?

Naturalvillan

1.) 23 Oct 2022 09:34:57
Can you blame them with some of our fans?

2.) 23 Oct 2022 10:31:01
Nah - I think NV means Peter Noone, lead singer with Herman’s Hermits, wants to be our manager ??

3.) 23 Oct 2022 11:44:44
It has absolutely nothing to do with the fans the reluctance of top coaches, its because of our precarious league position with a threat of relegation and a lack of quality players capable of getting us out of this mess, its a poison chalice as Gerrard found out. Just remember Gerrard and Smith both praised the fans and any incoming coach will get our support, obviously if they fail that always has to be taken in to account. Just remember the board and owners sacked Lambert, Garde, Bruce, Smith Gerrard not the fans and the reason they were sacked became they failed to deliver the goals and exoections set by them.

4.) 23 Oct 2022 11:56:22
It has everything to do with the fans!Fan power rules the roost over every manager sacked and trust me we are the worlds worst for getting bed sheets out.

5.) 23 Oct 2022 13:28:50
Totally agree Daz, our fan base is toxic lose 3 or 4 games on the bounce and significant numbers are calling for the managers head you only have to monitor what’s said on here to see that. The top managers are very good not only managing football clubs but there careers also, hence why none of the really top guys are interested in taking us on.

6.) 23 Oct 2022 18:24:40
Go back to bed Loti and take SG with you. When you have a clueless manager in charge playing an unbalanced starting 11 and loosing every wk, of course the fans will turn toxic. Today we went back to a system that every Tom dick and Harry was calling for. I pay enough money for a season ticket so all I ask for is some decent football and progression. But under Gerrard we wasn't getting that with his pig headedness and I'm to big an ego to listen to anyone else.
So do yourself a favour and have a day off with slagging other fans off

7.) 23 Oct 2022 19:45:47
Back to my earlier post in this thread - ‘ something tells me I’m into something good’ ?

8.) 23 Oct 2022 21:31:26
Oddsocks everyone is entitled to an opinion and I might be inclined to follow your advice if your brain wasn’t inversely proportional to the size of your mouth.

9.) 24 Oct 2022 01:33:55
Blimey LOTI. So as I understand it, when the value of one quantity increases with respect to the decrease in the other or vice-versa, then they are said to be inversely proportional. It means that the two quantities behave opposite in nature. For example, speed and time are in inverse proportion with each other. So, as you increase the speed at which you were previously heading for the bottom of the table, the time it takes is reduced. Is that roughly it? ?

10.) 24 Oct 2022 07:12:27
You got it Menace so in this case as the size of the mouth increases the size of the brain clearly decreases it’s a sad condition which doesn’t effect everybody fortunately

11.) 24 Oct 2022 12:12:58
I think it's a condition sadly prevalent in many TV and Radio football pundits though.

02 Oct 2022 18:44:04
Its time for a top manager. If our owners have half the ambition they claim to then we need to be aiming high now.

Naturalvillan

1.) 02 Oct 2022 21:01:26
Prepare to be roasted for that opinion NV. See the responses to my post below suggesting Poch might be on the frame.
